Football is all about entertainment (or so we are told) and a moment such as this was (in my opinion) entertainment of the finest quality.
Little Jamie Hamill will long be remembered in the minds of many a supporter of our game, a thought that will often bring a wry smile to the coupon of the one remembering. As I type this I am remembering and I have a wry smile! The thought of Derek Adams face down on the track has increased my wry smile to a full blown cheesey.
Memories are what football is about and Mr Hamill has certianly provided us with one.
That said he should be hung out to dry by the SFA (or whoever governs our game/league now) and given a ban of Aber proportions.

I was at the 3-0 game at Fir Hill on 10th November 2013 with Simon, my mate of 39 years, his nephew Keith, and another best friend Jim. Jim, Simon and me had stood on the Love Street North Bank from a young age - I lost count of the number of games we saw, home and away.
10th November will forever be etched in my brain. We had an excellent day out - beers, watching the Saints win, curry and laughs - exactly what best mates should do. Shortly after midnight I said my farewells to Simon and planned to do it all again a month later away to Motherwell. I walked one way, Simon walked the other. Shortly afterwards some random bastard killed him for no apparent reason. I was the lucky one. Not only is this an attack on my best mate, it's an attack on society - it could have happened to anyone reading this.
I can't bring myself to attend tomorrow - do Simon proud Saints.
The murder trial begins on 9th June. Justice for Simon.

Well he certainly made an arse of himself more than once Hamilton was a decent player and a decent person and it was good of him to set up the winning goal in the cup final

I think Camara's reputation preceded him, he was a failure at Celtic and there was no good reason to expect that he would shine for us,
add to that his reputed high-earnings and the fact that (if i recall correctly) he was a knee-jerk response to another deal collapsing and it is understandable that the fans were unhappy.. I dont think he was abused because of his Celtic connection-would that not have applied to McGowan, DVZ and others?

I don't remember many Saints players being hated purely for what religion they follow, for one.

It will be all he will deserve if he signs for them.

You will not be happy until we're relegated. We could be 5 behind going into the split easy. Thistle will beat hearts and county who are the form team will be well fancied to beat Inverness at home. Our sorry excuse of a season will need drastic improvement and can we raise our game and win a league game for only the ninth time in 1 year and two weeks since we won the cup. ?

On a more serious note. How can anyone find anything to complain about with this story (on feeshal website too)? The stadium corners need filled, this surely fills one. It strikes up a partnership with the Uni. It gives people discounts. It can surely be used to site advertisements that generate income. I presume it will be a modern technology affair capable of showing video, team line-ups with pen pics, birthday messages....
What's to complain about? Surely this is a good development?

McGowan on this season's form shouldn't be near the first team, he's been awful. He's fast becoming the most overrated player in our history.

I would go for Samson in goal ahead of Gallacher everytime.

There is no hysteria in my part towards campbell I am just saying the lad has a lot of potential and obviously very highly thought of at NFC IMO deserves a start before a journeyman like magennis who is surplus to requirements at aberdeen and after his embarressing appearance at AFC cup final I would have sent him packing

I really can't believe I even need to ask this. But on what planet does Josh Magennis merit a start ahead of a lad who we've seen all of 4 times?
A 19 year old boy who we chased for 6 months and when we finally signed him, gave him 3 starts before relegating him to 5 minute cameos?
Magennis is a tried and tested failure in the SPFL. His performance tonight made the one which big Bahoken put in on his debut earlier in the season look like Maradona vs England in 1986.
Does anyone genuinely believe, apart from our management team that Josh Magennis merits anything other than a 5 minute time wasting sub appearance when Thompson is knackered?
On the other hand, in Campbell, We have a guy who has proven himself in his short time on the park to be potential game changer for us. A fast, direct, skillful option. Yet we insist on not playing him.

Watching the highlights, I have to say we were lucky not to have been given a hiding. Surely playing against Celtic you need to provide protection to the back four. Not sure why Goodwin didn't get a start.

Don't know why you're getting a hard time, it was 3 going on 10 with the number of clear cut chances they had.

What did he do after his fresh air header? I was expecting to see him appear back in the picture trying to make up for his mistake but he never appears again!! Did he see the Aberdeen bus on the way to Hampden or something and keep on running?
And no I'm not upset about him celebrating Aberdeens scraped League Cup boreless draw cup win but I am upset that he doesn't appear back to try to make up for his fresh air header at any point.

There are no circumstances under which I would ever boo a man who won us a Cup.
He will be leaving at the end of the season - I'm certain of that. Maybe he'll go beforehand.
Either way, as fans we need to display a bit more class and dignity in defeat.

I accept that selling our soul to the tv companies means it happens for tv scheduling... but that would not seem to be the case here.
If it's to suit the clubs it could have been switched ages ago which would slso have taken fans into consideration.
I actually waited as long as possible before confirming other plans in case it was switched.
Am I supposed to take the "ach well these things happen" attitude when I am needlessly missing a game I've paid to see?
