There was a piss poor article on the BBC Scotland news tonight where all they could muster as evidence was twenty year old plus cctv footage and a wee interview with that Hibs prick from the 80s. All very odd given the beeb gave it the days headline status.

The young Saints were already 3rd in the table & are now just 6 points off the top. Have won 4 and drawn 1 of their last 5 league games.

Mallan along with Jack Baird were the best two players on the park yesterday.
Aside from that, all four new signings looked very good as well.

The Honours restaurant at the Malmaison hotel near Blythswood Square for a 'treat with the missus' type of meal. Not crazy mental prices either - for a Michelin star chef place. The burger is fantastic.
For a cracking breakfast in town - Cranberry in the Merchant City. Breakfast special of Scrambled egg and smoked salmon, toast, marmalade, coffee, juice... At an all-inclusive deal price.
For cracking home-made soup - the Falkirk Wheel. Far from a cheap touristy haunt, the women there make their home-made soup with crusty roll. I've went there several times just for a lunch. In a similar vein....
The cafe at the Riverside Transport Museum. Again, home-made grub. Scones are the business. The fish & chips? People are travelling there just for their fish & chips.
There's some left-field recommendations. As a cake and coffee lover, no point in trying to list all the great independent coffee places I like... Would be here all day. Bernie's in Bridge of Weir is up there with the best though.... An' ahm' no' jist' sayin' that.

Unbelieveable. People cant just enjoy a couple of back to back wins without finding reasons to point out the smallest negative.
I genuinely feel sorry for them.
I would never want to spend time with any of them but I do feel sorry for them.

The difference in the attitudes of sports media between Scotland and England are all to prevalent when situations like this arise. Everyone in the media in England seems to be getting on board with what Leicester are doing. Ian Wright on MOTD came out last night and said they'll do it and he frankly hopes they do....This is a man whose team is in the race still.
Contrast this to Scotland and it's sports journalists. Take the commentators for the BBC earlier in the season when St Johnstone went to Ibrox and won at a canter or when Ross County comfortably disposed of Celtic last week. On both occasions the desperation of the pundits for the establishment clubs to get back into the match was dripping from every syllable.
Take Aberdeen, an Aberdeen title win is only going to happen due to the incompetence of Ronny Deila if the press are to be believed, very little credence is actually being given to a side who are ballsy enough not to be put off by the reputation of the big fish in their tiny pond.
There is genuine lethargy in the sports press in Scotland. They fear change as it causes inconvenience for them, as we've all witnessed in the past 4 years. In England though? Well they've finally dropped this nonsensical notion that they have the best league in the world, they now call it the most exciting in the world and let's be honest on the basis of this season it's been difficult to argue.

Good result and a game that for once today I actually got excited enough to start abusing a ref that was worst than the idiot we had last week. I don't really miss the SPL or whatever it is called now but the ability of refs and lineman at this level is scary.

Regards tipy tapy fitbaw, why not play it out from the back? We can't hold the ball up so why not play it on the deck? Why can't professional football players pass a ball 10-20 yards?
Now I know some times clear your lines and I agree with that, but some of the best football I witnessed was playing it out under Hendrie and Lennon,

After reading on this forum that St Mirren are not a community club by a certain pipe fitter who claims not to be a St Mirren support wink , wink ! Here is a wee article from the PDE
Paisley youngsters were putting their feet to the beat at fun musical sessions held with St Mirren bosses.
The youngsters from Kibble Education and Care Centre joined the Buddies, Paisley Panda and a top performer for lessons about different musical instruments.
The kids were also taught how to beatbox, the free-styling artform of mimicking drumbeats and percussion, using ones mouth.
And expert tuition was provided by Glasgow beatbox artist Bigg Taj, who has become well known for his appearance on ITVs Britains Got Talent as well as coming 8th in last years UK Beatbox Championships.
He said: Many of the kids will have probably heard beatboxing before but never tried it. These tuition sessions will teach them the basics and to let them have a go themselves.
Beatboxing has been a passion of mine for over a decade and I always love teaching young people some of the skills. Who knows, hopefully someone here today will be inspired to take up beatboxing after today.
Ross Paterson from St Mirren Football said: The aim of the project is to provide music making opportunities for young people in care.
With funding from the SPFL trust we are looking to deliver a 10 week programme to work with at least 15 young people.
We are trying to engage the young people through music and to hopefully lead into other activities the club can offer such as football coaching sessions.
Collaborations like this with Kibble are a key part of our social mission at the club, and we are looking forward to more joint work in the future.
Neil Govan, Head Teacher of Kibble Education and Care Centre, added: I would like to thank Taj and Ross for their help in providing this programme for our young people.
Events like this are an important part of their learning whilst attending Kibble, and it is great to have something so different like beatboxing.
We are always looking for new and diverse ways of engaging young people in rich learning experiences. Partnerships such as these so very helpful and I look forward to linking up again with St Mirren Football Club in the future.
