Lack of ambition? For not wanting to slash our wrists and start supporting Man Utd or Barcelona after one game where we missed a pen to make it 2-2 with a ton of kids, new signings and a new management's first competitive league game as Saints bosses... and it was the toughest task to be handed as an opener?
    Aye, well... opinions, opinions.

What a save from Ridgers initially, he's had a good game. Unlucky after that.

Offered a deal at Oldham Athletic. All the best to the St. Mirren legend. Great level of football in England to test himself at.

That's an opinion which you are entitled too however I on the other hand have a very different opinion. He was a decent player who always give St.Mirren 100%. I find it very strange the way he left the club and I am convinced he is the type of player that will more than ably play in the English 1st division.

Marc McAusland is now written into the history of St Mirren. He lived the dream. He was most certainly good enough for us.

What absolute Pish Stu ! Where in that article does it say anything about Teales thoughts on Murray ?
On the Radio this morning , Murray said the first phone call congratulating him was from GT. That to me speaks volumes about Teale & his professionalism. He has resisted the temptation to make negative comments on someone who , lets face it , next season might be his boss !!
Teale could be a key player for us next season in the championship , if Murray sees the right attitude from him.
As for his comments on the timing of the announcement ? When is the "right time ?" Had we waited till monday there would be complaints about being kept in the dark .
The decision was made . Teale was always a caretaker so given the fact we got relegated under his stewardship it couldn`t have come as a great surprise to him & i`m sure the Board would have let the unsuccessful applicants know their fate before making their decision public.
GT , will always be remembered as a cup winning hero but if he wants to continue to ply his trade with Saints, he`ll suck it up , work hard & try to earn a starting place next season.......... if the new manager wants him.

Hope he is alright, that was a shocker of a challenge. He had a decent game today too, apart from the miss.Motherwell gave him special treatment throughout the match.
Putting everything aside you don't want to see any player end up in a state like that, especially one of your own.
Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Goodwin got a great cheer from main stand when warming up. Hope he stays. I think he still has a year left on contract. A new manager will look at things and Gary should have let him play if it was to be last game at home. But no worries Jim if they let you go I bet you will play premier league football next year. Yes I like Jim Goodwin plays with passion for the the saints some left it to late this year.

My concern is regarding Teale and the managers job.
Winning 2 games is great (when the shackles are off) , we need to be winning games when there is something at stake.
I hope these last 2 scores do not count towards securing the job.

Adams comes across as a bit of a bellend and he's had previous exchanges in the past with our club. As regards to appointing him as manager it has to be a no from me. He's always had cash to buy players at County and that's not going to happen with our next man at the helm. Could Adams work with what will predominantly be a team of youngsters ? I seriously doubt it.

I think you'll find the support and the other 48% of shareholders have put a lot more into the club, but they aren't or can't sell their investment and take the money back. We have trusted the running of something we have funded to someone else for years!

The decisions that have brought a series of unmitigated disasters to our club over managerial appointments, being almost sold, then not, selling key players at the last minute leaving the side bereft of hope, the decisions they refused to make, the decisions they dithered over.... Are our club chairman and board's positions still tenable?
What business leaders could survive the cost and reputation implications our chairman and board members have visited upon the the club?
The old line.... 'We saved the club' rings hollow when you think every fan who bought a share, season or match ticket since then has put far more into the club, and we can't put up that goodwill and investment for sale to get our money back!
Given the example every political leader of a losing party has set by taking responsibility and falling on their sword, shouldn't those who have presided over a longer more damaging scenario at St Mirren Park follow suit? They have told us for years they are tired and want out, so why not make it happen for the sake of the club. Please don't give me the line their is no one within the support or local community who has the skill set to takeover, as the current board hadn't run a football club before their current experience.
I don't doubt for one minute they love the club, or indeed that the make the decisions that they believe are the right ones. The problem is and has been since the club was put up for sale, they continue to make decisions based on the short term in the hope a buyer will sweep in and relieve them of their burden. To me and others it looks like running the club has become a burden on them, this is evidenced by a continued series of attacks/digs at the support... The only people who continue to and will going forward, finance the club!
I call on the Chairman and board to Work with the support, Smisa etc and facilitate an orderly handover to a new team full of drive, ideas and direction. Come to an agreement over sale of the shares, but please consider if you genuinely feel up to a fight next season like no other to get the club back to where we should be. If not make the change happen.

loomo reacted to West Ham Saint in Kieran Sadlier Leaves (Updated Title)
Not sure on rules of starting new threads but thought you'd appreciate me passing on what I've heard.
Despite the relegation Sadlier has enjoyed his time with the Saints and is set to sign a years extension.
He was under appreciated at West Ham so I'm not surprised he appreciates the support he has had from the club and the Buddies fans.
As painful as relegation is, he wants to be part of a promotion push and feels he can play a big part of next season.
The bad news is that this means I'll be coming up to watch a couple more games next season...

Danny will always be fondly remembered as a cup winning manager and should be given respect for that for ever more, however our form in the league under him was poor.
I thought letting him go was the right thing to do, but replacing him with Tommy clearly was a barking decision that backfired big time.
Nobody is perfect, none of us on here have gone through life without making mistakes. The board made a big mistake, and compounded it by not immediately bringing in an experienced manager as soon as TC was gone.
Given how close the Argentinian deal was to going through I can only assume that they assumed they would bring in their own people in January which is why GT was kept on. When that deal went sour we were left high and dry.
The sooner the club is sold the better. I really don't think we can move forward again until it is.
