There is the nightmare scenario that nothing much changes , except revenues dwindle, and it's a struggle next season.
Grim times, two years since the party, it's a shame, but hardly worthy of upset.
On a parting note, the Spfl is utter shite anyway , lol. Well it certainly has been for us for years now
Interesting but just watch the league get a sponsor next season once the Current buns return, that sums scottish football up

Fitzpatrick is a nice guy but he was clueless as a manager.
And ah'm no just saying that.

I'm generally a very positive person, and try very hard to be positive about the football club at all times, but being realistic now the automatic relegation spot looks increasingly likely to be our fate. So let's look ahead to what life in the Championship will be like and look for some positives there.
Firstly we can hope that Morton manage to get promoted. 4 proper derby games a season would at least give us something to look forward to.
Two of Hibs, Rangers and probably Motherwell are going to be down there with us too. That's going to be another 8 big matches to look forward to against the same level of opponents that we currently play in the top flight.
The Championship has less f**king about with kick off times than the top flight does. More of our games will be at 3pm on a Saturday.
We won't have to endure those god awful strips again next season.
We might actually start enjoying games again, and score some goals !
We will have a better chance of seeing the club being sold on to local St.Mirren people given that the asking price is sure to drop post relegation
Our gates will almost certainly increase in the Championship given larger away supports, less TV coverage and the team being in with a realistic chance of being involved in the chase for the title or at the very least the end of season playoffs.
There are a lot of negatives too of course, but there are still some silver linings to relegation, it's not the cliff face it once was.

Love the enthusiasm from some of you, what I want to know is, what is this magical thing that is going to happen this week which will see us start scoring goals, stringing 2 passes together outside our own half, winning the remainder of our games..
Have I missed something? Are basher and yardley gonna pull on the stripes again for one last miracle?

I signed up for 10000Hours,so was willing to do my bit, within my means.
This tired pish about Gilmour et al sinking money into the club has ran it's course. We are all grateful to them for something very positive they done over 15 years ago, but that is history, they have undone it in recent years.

If you want to be a Gilmour groupie, just you carry on. All you will be doing is exposing yourself to be just the mug that he and his pals are taking you for.

To be fair, many of us were willing to pay what we could afford (not all of us own a large profitable business) to try and make 10,000 hours work.
Rightly or wrongly the current BOD put the kybosh on that option.
I'm not going to lambast the board, as I still recognise the good that they've done for the club. However, in the past few years they've made decisions that are making it harder to remember that, overall, they have been good for the club.
Asking Drew to buy the club is just f**king stupid, but not unsurprising, given your track record on posting ill thought out drivel.

You make a lot of good valid point's, but the highlighted bit is completely unfair and untrue, he
isn't even the worst defender at the club never mind the whole SPFL....
Personally I think we missed Cheesy yesterday, he may not be the greatest but as captain he
plays with a passion and some fire in his belly, he certainly shows more desire than yesterdays
captain who looked as if he just didn't want to be on the park at all, fighters is what this club needs
from now till the end of the season, Thompson Gow and Kelly need dropping, there performances
are pure powder puff...
As for the BOD your correct, the sooner they GTF the better....

Yes, surely with the amount of know it all fans on here, a takeover should be inevitable.
We must have every professional trade available on here, so step back from the keyboard and take the bull by the horns and set up something that is going to work for St.Mirren.
The amount of stupid ventures I see opening here in Argyll because they have a great business plan on paper is amazing, then they last a few months!!! This will work, maybe no massive profit but viable surely????
