Not the same player that left them, thats for sure............
Wee Derek at Argylle doesn't rate him, and look at how good Carey has become for them

Mearns Saint reacted to div in 1-3 New Players Coming In.
I think he'll definitely look to bring in a player who can play wide right, freeing up Magennis to play a central role which he is much more suited to in my opinion.
If Hill does come on loan as part of the Morgan deal then he will be another option in there.
Think another striker is a possibility, if they can move Duffy on which is surely on the cards.

Has 18month left in his contract I would have Cammy Smith any day of the week over Tongo.

Don't rise to the fishing trip that Shull is on. He's only out to get a response that requires him to respond with at east two consecutive back to back posts to build up his post count.

Mearns Saint got a reaction from Gosport Buddie in Buddievision - poor value for money
It's cheaper yes and quite rightly so. The quality of the Hibs TV production is night and day compared to ours. I think it's great to have the St Mirren TV service, living outside of Scotland like myself means I never have to miss a home game. The service could be better and I think there are always improvements being made. We use students to run the service and as a result the quality of production at time can be hit and miss. As great an idea as it is to have the students running it they need to also keep in mind that people are paying for the service.
Completely agree on your point about having to pay for Buddievision on top of St Mirren TV. For those outside of the UK the two should come hand in hand in my opinion.

Mearns Saint reacted to faraway saint in Morton v St Mirren 2/1/18 LIVE ON BBC ALBA
I don't believe it's as straight forward as that.
If you stick 2 guys on the posts then you are 2 short in the box.
It's all swings and roundabouts IMO, the real error was Baird lost the flight of the ball and his man.
As usual the defenders or goalie get it in the neck as an error can result in a goal against us, other outfield positions make errors all over the park but don't usually cost us a goal.
That's fitba.

St.Mirren TV even with the dodgy camera work and "wonderful" commentary is a good service for far flung buds. I do not agree with buddievision in its current format is the same value for money added on top of St.mirren TV though as I already pay a yearly subscription to watch the matches so why would I want to/should have to pay to watch a couple of interviews on top.
The comparison with BBC is perhaps not a fair one but how about with BTsport with its 4 or 5 sports channels?
£63 for Saints TV euro's plus the £50 for buddievision = £113 / year
If you have the following:
Plusnet/plusnet TV its £60 a year
BT internet/TV Free
Sky TV/BT internet £120 a year
OK so they also use BTsport as a sweetener for taking their internet/tv package but most of us have an internet/TV package.
Overall as I say I think Saints TV us good but when you have to add buddievision it really becomes expensive for what it is.
If you compare like for like then look at Hibs TV, buddievision compares favourably at £50 compared to £59 so as a standalone service it works.

Mearns Saint reacted to Kemp in Buddievision - poor value for money
It would seem to be way too early for the club to launch a pay service given the quality of coverage they are able to provide.
A corrupt file simply should not happen, there isn't any excuse for that if you are charging people for the service.
The quality of the matchday coverage has gone downhill this season too, which is understandable as it is presumably a less experienced group of students from UWS running it now. The new co-commentator is absolutely bloody awful though, clearly has no affinity for St Mirren and quite simply just talks utter shite all through the game. Please just stick to describing what is going on and who has the ball, boys - you are not as clever as you think!
I don't see much point in paying another subscription for the interviews, should really be the type of thing the club put out for free in my opinion.
Despite the inane ramblings of the commentary team, St Mirren TV remains a great service and I'm delighted to have access to it when working abroad.

I think the youngsters in w6 and w7 do a fantastic job. The atmosphere they created on Fri night was superb. Keep it up lads and lassies.

Mearns Saint reacted to Drew in St Mirren v Dundee United SPFL Championship 29/12/17
FFS, that was tremendous.
I don't really care that it was a poor, scrappy 1st half. We did more than enough to win that match. Lewis Morgan is absolutely f**king stellar. That said, I thought they all played their part tonight. It is undoubtedly a team game, and Morgan would be the first to confirm that.
No critique from me tonight. What a hugely memorable and impressive calendar year it has been. No Saints fan would have dared hope for such a turnaround. Dared to dream.
What a guy Jack Ross is, though. Tick tock indeed!

I was a critic of Baird and had my doubts as to whether he would cut it but he gets better every week, Davis brings out the best in him, he is a class act.

Spot on regarding Jack. He absolutely strolled through that match.
I think he has been one of our top 5 so far this season. Delighted for the big guy.

I thought banners were banned for a period of time? Assume common sense prevailed and it was removed.
Well done to all the people involved in what looked like another impressive flag display last night.

Mearns Saint reacted to bungle_1981 in Samson - The Modern Day Les Fridge
Given what was at stake tonight, Sammy's penalty save could be regarded as one of the most important moments of the season, if we go on to win the league or be promoted.
Potentially as important as his penalty save in the league cup semi.

Mearns Saint reacted to faraway saint in Samson - The Modern Day Les Fridge
We all post shite at times, THIS is up there with the best.
Not just for tonight's penalty save, a team in our league will struggle to have a goalkeeper with the experience of Samson.
He's already a League Cup winner, and is heading for a Championship winners medal, no bad for someone who's "done".

Mearns Saint reacted to BuddieinEK in Give Reilly a new deal.
Agreed.
I also think his barren spell at a couple of clubs might help him realise that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
He is playing regularly in a team that appreciates him, and for a management team that trusts him.
Hopefully that counts for something at this stage. -

Is it right he is only on a one year contract? If so get him on a new deal now.

Mearns Saint reacted to St.Ricky in David Clarkson
The club and manager have both treated DC well. Our reputation in supporting players when injured will help us in signing future players, in my opinion. Best of luck to David.

Mearns Saint reacted to Isle Of Bute Saint in Lewis Morgan
Have to be happy with that as has been written could have walked for nothing plus we get Morgan till the end of the season. Morgan had a huge part to play on this Jack is documented in saying Morgan wanted to make sure Saints were rewarded for giving him the platform and that he wanted to stay until the end of the season to help our promotion push what a legend not many players take their club into consideration.
