I suppose if Murray had faffed around dithered over whether to offer Webster a deal then there was the likeliehood that someone else could have stepped in with a tempting offer.
Either way, Murray can't win. It's frustrating but there is not a lot you can do when you are in Webster's position and can bide your time as a free agent.
Like others have said let's hope Murray has other irons in the fire.

I don't think he has been up to much from what I have seen of him thus far but the abuse he is getting from the usual suspects amongst the support is hardly conducive to boosting his confidence. Dummett was absolute pony when he first came here but ended up turning into one of the legends of March 17 2013. Not saying that Conlan will meet the same fate but we need to give him a chance.
The boy gets more abuse than the likes of Robert Dawson ever got and that isn't on.
