Hibs are absolutely ripping the arse out of the loan system....have they no reserve centre halfs in the club? can they not reshuffle the squad. That is what having a big squad is for. That could cost us big style if Ambrose plays well tomorrow niight and snuffs out Sutton.
And as for Stevenson playing in goal for Raith....pish, sbsolutely pish. I will be f ff furious if Ayr win tonight and we lose to Ambrose inspired Hibs
And, I cant believe there are some St Mirren fans hoping Ayr will win tonight to give us a chance of catching Raith....there is one team we should be aiming for. The one directly above us....if we catch them then we can aim for t he next one up...I would take a play off place right now....WITHOUT A SHADOW OF DOUBT (cap locks ON for emphasise!)

Really enjoyed watching the game on Div's Periscope....my first ever live Periscope goal....just a pity Div wasn't able to zoom back out quickly as we broke at supersonic speed. But, that all added to the mad excitement. It was almost like being there, I was singing and chanting along here on my own like a crazy fla' !

Very unlucky  in my opinion, Morgan was outstanding in the first half. Good on Jack Ross for throwing on forwards. Dont normaly write anything about refs but have to say was impressed. He let the game flow when  the whistle could have blown a few times not something you see in the Scottish  game. Penalty oh well it was a chance personally i would have Stevie Malan take them.  Musent grumble a point is better than nothing. glass half full undefeated in three games.

    One heartfelt plea...
McLean, McGinn, Mallan, all were welcomed with open arms and adored... Till they hit a sticky patch... Then they were rounded upon and hounded!

Please remember this delight at his extended contract and commit to supporting the lad regardless!

Yeah, as I say, he just thought things were going too well, didn't fancy Dumfries away on a Tuesday, so he just lamped someone.
    That's the only possible explanation.

I've waited til today before commenting, didn't want to criticise the young lad too much for what he did.
Far more experienced players than Jack have let their team down in a similar fashion (violent conduct) and went on to learn from it.
He shouldn't have hit out but after hearing his claims of getting bit and seeing the images it does look like he's telling the truth here.
He's young, he's inexperienced and will learn from this.
It's easy for us or even some of his fellow pros to say he shouldn't have hit him after this but who knows how any of us would have reacted to a bite like that.
He may not be the best centre half in the word but he's our centre half and like it or not we will probably need his services before the season's out.
I'm sure he regrets his actions, time to get behind the lad.

Well it's obvious something happened to make Jack Baird react. It's not as if the young lad has a track record of this behaviour.
I was saddened by the reaction of some fans on here wanting Jack severely dealt with before understanding the facts. We need to get right behind our young lads.

For my first post ever on here, I'm not gonna read through the pages of pish written about the squad or individuals. Today I watched us lose and clapped us off the park. We did not deserve that. With a centre 3 instead of 2 in midfield, our pace and skill out wide, we're good. I turned round, complaining about the freekick being given against Jack. 2 seconds later my dad went "Wow Jack". He watched him punch the boy on the ground. That was at least the second foul given for their forward bending over and our centre half going over the top of him. Something must of happened for Jack to react. It's not excusable, but I want to see it. Cannot fault a single player for effort. Get Shankland, Walsh and Hardie out of there. A new beast in midfield, it's hard to find a Goody. But Mallan and Magennis in front of a Goody type would be brilliant. We'll finish above Dumbarton, Ayr and Dunfermline.

I was one of the 392.
We were good for our lead but not comfortable, something obviously happened for Baird to react and TBH Miller was fouling constantly but neither the ref or linesman were pulling him up for it. No excuse for Baird he had to walk and he would maybe benefit from a loan spell away from us to get a bit of confidence and out of the losing habit.
Hippo should have been booked for diving early in the first half but the ref bottled it and that had an effect for the remained of the game until he was eventually booked.
We passed up two or three good chances on the break after half time and on another day we may have scored a second. Overall in adversity it was an ok performance, Mallan looked a lot better, Sutton worked really hard and when not playing full back MaGennis did well again.
But it is a win we need just now.

That was the first time I'd seen the team this season.....jesus wept that was torture. I spent most of the first half trying to work out what our tactics were - I think the same can be said of the players. There was an enormous gap between the midfield and the attack. We looked so lightweight with Mallan and Hutton in there and I lost count of the numbers of cross field punts that were played.....straight out of the pitch. It was poor, poor stuff. Rae needs to get this sorted now or it'll be a repeat of last year.
I'd rather have the entertaining passing football that Danny aimed for without getting 3 points than the long ball tedium without 3 points. Its a lose, lose at the moment.

I had a thought about what the club could do that's thinking outside the box a wee bit. I know some might not like the idea, especially ST holders but here it goes anyway. Could the club possibly try and help out the homeless punters or maybe even families in poverty in the Renfrewshire area by handing out vouchers that let an adult or kid into the ground for free, maybe even throw in a free pie and bovril and free travel to the game.
I know the first thing that springs to mind is cost but what if there are bucket collections put on at a home game prior to it to make sure there is enough money raised to make sure the caterers aren't out of pocket. There are already charities at most home games collecting money at the gates and this is a charitable gesture to people who wouldn't normally be able to afford a wee day out to the football (I know things on the pitch probably won't help put a smile on their faces ). It's not for every home game either.
I think it would generate a could bit of media interest, especially on the back of the homeless World Cup which was held in Glasgow recently. Who knows maybe an under privileged kid would catch the football bug and go on to play for Saints and be a superstar or make a good bit of money later in life and buy the club. Could even try and get the Renfrewshire council involved or Mhari Black and get a local bus company to help transporting people if there was actually any interest.
Dunno just a wee idea that popped into my head, it's a twist on handing out tickets to school kids and the coffee initiative where people pay a bit extra so the under privileged/homeless can get a coffee too. There are still plenty of seats to be filled at home games.

Why do you want Gordon and McKenzie in when the glaring obvious weaknesses is the midfield. Rae changed the formation today and defensively it was ok. Creativity was non existent leading to us booming aimless punts from all angles towards Sutton. We need to sign two central midfielders as an urgency before the window closes. No matter what formation we play, a midfield of Mallan and Hutton will not work. Hutton needs another central midfield digger to allow Mallan to go forward and create from midfield. Some things were better today. Irvine was much better back on the right and Walsh git forward well when replacing Stewart. Clarkson tried hard but like Irvine last week he was a square peg in a round hole. We need natural central midfielders and quickly.

Punt Jack Baird? He's had a few shaky weeks, but he's had a good season considering his age and the fact it's his first full season in senior football.

I don't think Mallan should be dropped, and i don't think he will be. He's the biggest goal threat we have, as the stats show. What I don't expect from any teenager is consistency. He's not going to play well every week, and he hasn't played well in the last couple of games. No one plays well in every game at his age in world football.
I just wish our fans were more patient with our youngsters. Mallan is at an age where he could be playing for 20's every week. He doesn't though, cos he's good enough to play in the first team.
He wasn't even near to our worst performer today incidentally. Senior players like Webster, Agnew, Langfield and Irvine bear that burden.

There's lines on the pitch oaky. Look at them. He's clearly several yards behind the last defender.
If someone other than Clarkson was given offside then it's an incorrect call also, as no one else was interfering with play.
You don't have the first idea about football do you?

Heady tennis melee in midfield, Falkirk player punches it - didn't see it.
WWF moves whilst defending a corner - didn't see it.
Langfield stops the ball on-ish the goal line on the far side of the goals - he can see both the ball and the line through langfield's body!
Maybe the line screamed as the ball crossed it? A well practiced scream seemed to secure most decisions.
