When Saints run out on the park I like 99.9% of fans will back the team 100% however at the end of the game if fans feel we have not played as well as we can and lose the game they have every right to Boooo the team of the park if they so wish. I did not booooo the team off the park on Saturday simply because I walked out early in disgust. Have spoken to fans of other clubs who like you think it's shocking Danny is under pressure after only a few games. but then I explain some of the figures the worst of which reads 3 league wins in 9 month of football The answer back is WHAT ! Then they agree that is totally unaceptable . If that rate of success was in the real world of the job market you would be sacked make no mistake. Dummett and Newton were virtual unknowns with Newton making a career first full 90mins at first team level against Celtic at Hampden with Dummett having first team exposure at blue square prem level. Look how good these guys turned out to be. Im hoping that our contacts with Newcastle result in another 1 or 2 possibly coming our way saving us cash in wasted contracts.
I can understand that the signings so far havent exactly been top drawer excitement but I buy my season ticket on the basis of love for my club and nothing else, regardless of who signs.
And one last thing, Paul McGowan re-signing for us has been one of the best signings by any team in the spl this season by a country mile !

The problem isn't Doncaster.
The problem is that we have 42 clubs run by incompetent twats from top to bottom.
Football isn't the wee cosy amateur clubset that it used to be where blazers could enjoy their wee bit of power behind closed doors but basically everyone in the game was looked after. The game was the most important thing and this was taken very seriously.
What happened next was devastating. TV money came along and threw a few sheckles our way. An undignified scramble took place with Rangers and Celtic barging their way through to take the lions share like two fat kids at a wedding scramble (remember those?).
What a professional sport needs is professional people running it but we're still being run by amateurs who have systematically and very publicly advertised over 20 years to every sponsor listening that our game is worthless. Then they act surprised when nobody wants to give us money.
Add in the shambles that was the forced capitulation of these same directors regarding the Rangers nonsense and you have to step back and ask whether it's worth the hassle. Do we really want to be thinking about Doncaster, Rangers, Hearts, Dunfermline, "improving the product" or any of that shit? Or do we just want to see some f**king football played well in a competitive exciting league where cheats are properly and quickly punished, where no club is too big to fail, where the entire structure of the league isn;'t organised for the benefit of just a handful of teams, with reasonable admission prices?
TV has ruined our game because the money it brings has turned 42 football club chairmen from good businessmen with profitable businesses into unthinking, seedy, money grabbing whores where every decision is ruled by money first, money second and money last, leaving our game a financial basketcase. I don't see how that will ever change.

Hello Buddies! Dundee FC season ticket holder here. Only came here to see what you all made of signing Harkins and after reading some of the negative comments I had to sign up!
1. Harkins is not fat! I thought the exact same thing and having spoken some youth players I know, I was assured that he was one of the fittest guys around! 2. Is he lazy on the pitch? Sometimes... He doesn't tend to track back when the chips are down. he is a winner but you can see him getting frustrated. To be fair, the quality of players around him at Dundee didn't do him justice and we tried to put every pass to his feet so it was difficult.
3. Can he score. Yes! BUT that isn't his game. He is a creative player. He has a great free kick on him though and is really dangerous at set pieces.
Overall you's are getting a truly quality player for nothing! He loves the banter so I suggest getting a song about him ready for the pre-season friendlies and he will thrive on that!!
Also, get following him on Twitter. He has top notch patter on there and loves speaking to fans.
We are gutted to lose him but he will always be welcome at Dens.
The post about Colin Nish...... I hope that was a wind up cos I think he would struggle in the 3rd Division!! He started really well then just gave up. He can't run and never stays on his feet.

This man, player, supporter has had many accolades but today, as if we needed any further proof, showed he is a true St Mirren great.
These comments are thrown around very easily but what this man brings to St Mirren cannot be measured.
Heard that Owen Coyle said he’s THE best signing he ever made.
Maybe Danny Lennon got lucky with him but one thing we cannot deny, a signing that is certainly one of our best and if anyone deserves a winner’s medal in March, and maybe May, this man does.
If he reads this, a wee invite to hospitality would be appreciated.
