Anyone needing tickets for the Morton game.. due to a poorly scheduled family wedding we have 5 tickets in the Main Stand that we can't use. Would rather sell them all together, face value £22 each (they are the padded seats). PM me.

After McGinn was treated for his injury mid first half, he should have been replaced by McShane, as his both mobility and ability to pass were severely impaired IMO.

Although it goes against most other aspects of my nature, when it comes to St Mirren, I'm a pretty dedicated happy clapper. I don't have the power to influence anything that happens at the club, but I feel the team would benefit more from my support and blind faith than it would from moaning and berating players. Obviously, things happen that I'm not pleased with; players come in who I'm no sure about, guys leave who I'd want to keep, we lose to teams we should beat, we concede soft goals, but it's all part of being a football fan, if the game ever made me miserable for more than half an hour post-match, I'd stop going. You probably get more lows than highs as a buddie, but that just makes the good times all the more special. The Morton game will be forgotten in a matter of days, but the Millennium Champions, the Challenge Cup Final against Accies, winning the League under Gus, 3-2 at Fir Park, 2-0 away to Falkirk, 2-1 against Rangers, 4-0 vs Celtic, Mallan's goal against Raith, Loy's goal at Easter Road...They'll all live with me forever.
    Happy Clapper for life!

Played with Jack at Falkirk.  Apart from the time in India, Duffy's career is not dissimilar to Stephen Dobbie's: earned a move down south, actually managed to carve out a big chunk of his career in England then returned to Scotland as a veteran.
The pair of them have got an identical goals per game ratio in the UK:
    Dobbie in Scotland: 79 in 179 (0.44); Duffy in Scotland: 38 in 73 (0.52)
    Dobbie in England: 35 in 187 (0.19); Duffy in England: 49 in 211 (0.23)
    Dobbie overall: 114 in 366 (0.31); Duffy overall: 87 in 284 (0.31)
Dobbie came back at the age of 33 and scored 19 goals last season, Duffy's coming back now at the age of 33...........

Woah. A few folk jumping to conclusions here

a ) there was no bankhouse bus - never been a problem on them and it's a really well run bus - unfair to point fingers
b ) why bring the singing section into it? we self policed our section, there was no issues at the game. drums and flags made it a good occasion
    c) if someone does drugs in a toilet, that's their individual choice/risk - no reflection on the club or its supporters
d ) as I mentioned before , I never witnessed any problems and had a great day out. Going by usernames, some people making claims weren't even there - so to start flinging mud at groups and buses is bang out of order, especially based on second hand information

Exactly, and the only real facts are that we finished joint 9th last year. Whether we've built a strong team in pre-season is only a matter of opinion.

The guy is on holiday with his young family, FFS.
He works in a job that will often take him away from his family at weekends and evenings. He will be cherishing this time away from the rigours of a post that he has thrown himself into with no small level of commitment.
Give the guy a break. Yes, it would be good to hear from him, but that's no reason to beat him with a stick over it.

Apparently only about half the team were on the list to come to the bankhouse (due to size of the squad I'm assuming) and he just wasn't one of them for whatever reason, think he did turn up later on though. Don't think you can read too much into McGinn giving him a bollocking on the park, that's the captain's job.

I'm looking forward to hearing it sung by a packed stadium providing we get the result we need. Seen videos of it sung at Hampden after the Scottish cup final and it's pretty special.
