Jim has just explained his formation. Smother the Celtic midfield diamond with 3 young guys in the middle and Durmus and Connolly on the wings to keep their wingbacks from supporting the Celtic strikers. McAllister and Dennis through the middle.  Whether you agree or not it is a formation to have a go.

I have no doubt Goodwin will be in the press afterwards giving the usual Bafta-worthy performance but the blame is on him for this one.
All eyes on him now in a big few weeks, just as far away from relegation as we are top 6... interesting times ahead

Goodwin need a good boot in the stones for such a cautious formation. It’s a cup game ffs we look a bit better with more attacking intent but too late 

That's all good and well, and I agree that he is the most likely to create, but he HAS to get his final ball right when he has the chance to, otherwise it's all for nothing. That opportunity was very, very simple, and he screwed it up. Needs to do better.

Really wasn't good. Wasn't good at all. He was given the ball in masses of space, and had two possible choices - shoot or pass the ball in front of his teammate to shoot. He did neither. It was very poor.

How difficult is it to either take a shot yourself, or play the ball in front of your teammate rather than behind them? Really poor from Connolly.

Perfect opportunity wasted there to cut inside and shoot. We are not getting success going wide and trying to cross balls in. They are cutting out crosses and closing down on the wing. We need to switch it up and try to be more direct.

Connolly has been poor today, really bad delivery and lack of composure, he needs to be next to come off.

Draw was about all we deserved.
Slack passing all over the park today, as we were against Killie TBH.
Fortunate, to say the least, to get the penalty.
We're riding our luck right now, long may it continue.

A decent win, but even a number of Motherwell fans I know we're saying at half time that on the balance of play it could have been 3 or 4 to us, so only scoring one again is a bit disappointing. Some decent goal difference would be good!

More than half an hour against ten men and haven't looked close to scoring. The team need to be taking advantage of these golden opportunities!
