Isle Of Bute Saint Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Does that imply Andy Millen could be tempted to try his hand at management elsewhere? A few years ago Andy Milan was offered the Ayr United job. Andy wanted the job but the club would not let him go. Andy has always stated his main aim is to go into management. One of the best attacking teams I have seen from St Mirren was when Andy Milen was in charge against Motherwell while Gus was off on compassionate leave. Get this Andy played wide men that day. Quote
bluto Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 A few years ago Andy Milan was offered the Ayr United job. I doubt it... Quote
Gareth_Glasgow Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 You're being a bit harsh on yourself there. You and that fud Fraser (you) need to open your eyes and look at what's happening to your team. Or you could just get tae f**k instead. Quote
Murray7 Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 Steven McGarry released by Motherwell Buddie Bound? Quote
tiree saint Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 Steven McGarry released by Motherwell Buddie Bound? I doubt it he gets into forward positions and can play wide as well as score the odd goal. Gus much prefers the injury prone or defensive holding mid-fielder. Quote
FTOF Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 Steven McGarry released by Motherwell Buddie Bound? A destitute man's Billy Mehmet. No thanks. Quote
RussellV1 Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 Steven McGarry released by Motherwell Buddie Bound? A League bound apparently Quote
tiree saint Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 Steven McGarry would be a far better option than the likes of O'Donnell or Robb. Quote
Gary Blues Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 You and that fud Fraser (you) need to open your eyes and look at what's happening to your team. Or you could just get tae f**k instead. Okay then, I'll try opening my eyes. Yip, even with my eyes open it still appears that Gus has taken us from the brink of the 2nd Division to a 4th consecutive season in the SPL and 2 major semi finals in the same year for the first time ever in the club's history. Your problem is that you are thick and stupid. Quote

barney Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Liam Buchanan from partick thistle - apparently a great wee player. I'm pretty sure he's mid twenties and not prone to injuries, so i don't know where the appeal to st mirren would come in Quote

Caldy_87 Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Barney : Liam Buchanan NOT Injury Prone? You should probably look at his appearances over the last two seasons before making that Statement! Speak to a Thistle supporter in my work. He seems to be injured quite often. Quote
Iggy Poop Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 I see Simon Mensing's deal at the Accies is up. Would imagine that he'd be on Gus & Andy's radar. Certainly a player who has given us problems in the past. Quote

Your problem is that you are thick and stupid. Yip, we have done all those things, very big achievements, but we have also gone through 2009 with just one home league win, and finished in the bottom three for three seasons in a row. Gus has made a lot of poor signings in the last couple of years. We currently have no wide midfielders that aren't injury-prone. We have one left-back who Gus has seemingly fallen out with. Our home attendances are terrible and a worrying number of fans are on the team's back. Maybe with a manager who could actually pick a starting 11, we could be aiming for the top 6 in a couple of seasons? You can't deny that a lot of fans want a new management team. Or maybe you're too thick and stupid to listen to opinions other than your own Quote
bluto Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 You can't deny that a lot of fans want a new management team. He probably can deny that. But he'll probably concede that there's a minority of fans on this obscure website who are a wee bit tediously grumpy. Quote
