Seems r*ngers forgot to hand over any money from novembers poppy appeal wot a joke afterall the hullabaloo about parading the solders round the stadium..lest we forget and they did ..another name added to the creditors list.......wot an embarresment of a club

Poppyscotland has tried to clear up the rumours tonight by issuing the followingn statement.

“@poppyscotland Seem to be some unfounded rumours circulating on twitter tonight. To confirm, Poppyscotland is not a creditor of r*ngers FC”

For those still withering on about how sky would walk away from showing Scottish fitba when Rongers vanish, N Doncaster admitted yesterday...

"The prospect of Sky ripping up their television contract if there are not four Old Firm games in the SPL next season may not be as real as originally feared. "The current contract, which comes to an end this season, says r*ngers and c*ltic must play each other four times a season. That's in line with most of our large contracts – our title sponsors are the same.

"What will be in the next contract from the summer remains to be seen. You do a deal originally in a short-form agreement and then the long-form agreement follows that later on. That's in process at the moment. What will happen in the future? I never predict anything in football."

Another Save the Hvns scaremongery hits the dust yet again.

I have never thought Sky would turn its back completely if r*ngers die but they would almost certainly want a reduction in the prize money. The Sky organisation has had a few problems and they are not a cash cow. We need an injection of sanity into the financing of football and possibly a significant reduction in Sky money might be the catalyst that sets that train in motion.

More bad news for r*ngers

http://www.scotprem....s2&newsid=11135

And it just keeps getting worse for them

http://news.stv.tv/scotland/west-central/299946-inquiry-into-r*ngers-charity-over-match-against-ac-milan/

So in the last few weeks they've either been investigated by or are about to be investigated by:

Plus Stock Exchange

Strathclyde Police

SFA (x 2)

SPL

Scottish Charity Regulator

Is there anyone I've forgotten ?

Here is an excellent summation of the current state of play for poor Rongers, using Q+A, by the author of the rangerstaxcase.com blog

Eta: Sorry, problem with the link, due to censorship by this forum.

Either edit that stupid asterisk or just follow the clicks...

I've read the new stuff. It certainly seems to point to the end of the road for r*ngers but in answer to the question 'Can r*ngers stay in the SPL if liquidated?', the author seems to clearly indicate that no, they can't. And yet he goes on to add comments about the integrity of the whole of Scottish football if somehow r*ngers are permitted to do exactly that. And there's the rub. Morally, legally and from the standpoint of good old fashioned fair play they should not be in the SPL next year. But reading all the rhetoric, even at this stage would you put all your money on them not being there? I wouldn't yet.

So far as Stewart Gilmour's position is concerned, a clear statement from him that St.Mirren FC will not be sold to Newco r*ngers at any price would be nice to hear.

Rick. Im just playing here but what if Newco bid £5m for 100% St Mirren FC and as part of the deal they agreed to donate Greenhill Road and all rights of access to the Ralston Academy to 10000hours.

The shareholders would be happy, r*ngers would be happy, the SPL would be happy and the Paisley Community would be happy.... Wouldnt it?

A new club - St Mirren Community Football Club could then seek election to the SFL, operate as a part time club developing young talent, offer much cheaper admission prices and be run with the Community for the benefit of the Community.

I'm just playing too but a Newco are unlikely to have a training facility and Ralston is just along the road.:o

Anyway it'll never happen...............
