JJ McG
Newton starting at right back then? Van Zanten on the bench, maybe lennon has realised he is the weak link in the team.

Nigel Hasselhoff
Van Zanten would struggle to get into any first division side never mind SPFL. But we'll play him anyway as he's under contract

DLBud
Fair play to whoever is running the official twitter page tonight, much better than the usual corporate tweets Is that Kenny McLean on the bench? Nice to see him back if so.

Isabella Duke
Shocked to read the continued abuse directed towards Van Zanten. I've always thought he was decent and he certainly doesn't warrant the bad mouthing. The reason we let in so many goals isn't that we don't have good defenders. Its the managers tactics! insaintee
Van Zanten is past it as mentioned. He was a good players now he's just not. Total liability. He's probably the most comfortable on the ball of all our defenders and is still reasonable going forwards. Defensively he's ok, but seems to be the most gaff prone. Defensively he's ok, but seems to be the most gaff prone. Disagree. He is woeful defensively especially, stands off his player far too much and gets caught out of position far to often for a full back. He puts in the odd decent cross that's about it. Kendo
DVZ is a legend and he is in the hall of fame. We should remember that and give him some f**ken respect. This is not the way to speak about a man who has given his all for the club.

Clearly he isn't good enough now

Drew
Quelle surprise! Another thread turns into an abuse-fest directed at one of our players. I suggest a few folk watch the cup final DVD all through, and they'll perhaps give DVZ a bit more credit (and respect) than they have been. Uncalled for. Even if his best days are behind him, and there are inadequacies in his game, he has been a great servant of our club.
