Big Yards
I see our old smudger put stenny out the cup tonight and dropped the ball earlier on in the match that he got away with. Don't want to be unkind to the guy but how has he managed to play professional football for so long!
bluto
If it had been any goalie other than him, I would have suspected the game had been sold, but I think he's an honest professional. Sadly...

farmer john
I didn't think he was particularly to blame for t hat goal. You see it from even the best top class keepers in most games...the decision made to go for the cross and not quite making it. "not covering himself in glory" might be a suitable term to use. I did think he had some fat belly on him now though!

Sadly... Do you still need to learn "THAT handshake" when you join the force? just askin'.
E=Mc2
Why is this not in "other football"?
stlucifer
Why is this not in "other football"? Watching the replay maybe General Nonsense would be more appropriate?

Bud the Baker
Key member of the 2005/06 team that won the Division & Challenge Cup double and again the following season when we stayed up against the odds - got injured and never recovered that form but still a player I remember fondly. windae cleaner
Big Chris looked very promising when he first came in the same as Derek Scrimagor but failed to maintain it. Just a warning to people who are going over board about Dilo at the moment. One memory about the big man,he lost 7 goals to Celtic A week later we had them in a cup tie and he kept a clean sheet as we won 1-0. I wish him all the best where ever he ends up playing
Drew
Smith was a key figure in The Miracle of Fir Park. For that alone, I will never countenance abuse of the guy.

Big Yards
amen Pains me to see the abuse the lad has taken over the years. The lad lost us umpteen games just like he did to stenhousemuir the other night in arguably their biggest game for decades! He also contributed greatly in putting Dunfermline out the league! I remember him dropping the ball into the net from a corner at the youth cup final at hampden which led to us losing, kicking the ground woth a kick out against dundee utd losing us a goal, i could go on and on. I'm sorry but I'm amazed that he's still a professional footballer and also amazed that some of our fans remember him fondly! What a strange support we have, used to shout and ball at yardley, one of our most prolific strikers of all time yet smudger is remembered fondly!! The mistakes Chris made when with Saints I forgave because he was a young lad learning his trade. At Dunfermline he was playing in front of the worst defence I have ever seen in the top league (including ours of the last season or two)... and his confidence was shot. Every mistake highlighted... by nice men like Kenny Sheils just to add extra pressure as the twat played his mind games... ... I still feel for the lad. He made mistakes at Saints for sure... and I will only judge him on his time at the club I support... but he played his part in our success at that time too and I am not going to add myself to the list of petty executioners taking cheap shots from behind a keyboard.
