Tam M
With all the doom and gloom these days on here.... thought I'd share this uplifting story about one of our players. Tonight my Mum won an Unsung Hero award at the Great Scot 2014 awards. I noticed on Twitter that McGinn was there and mentioned that my Mum was there. He messaged me asking what table. Within 5 minutes I had a text from my Dad saying he had just got his picture taken with John McGinn. Some lad. Whilst we might be pissed off at what is happening at St Mirren just now, things like this reminds me I wouldn't have it any other way. BuddieinEK
The lad is not only one of the best talents at the club... but a fine young man and great ambassador for our club. Dare
That's real bad news for us - this season goes from bad to worse !
BuddieinEK
Pleeeeeease may this be untrue... he is the one player in the team with drive and a sense of urgency. He had "Broonie" shiting himself and looking for haunners fae the ref. Without Thommo, McGinn and a defence we are f**ked! Mid Calder Saint
Something not right. If he had a knee problem why was he not subbed against County. Yes Tommy we had two unused subs that day. In the after match interview yesterday Tommy said he should be fine for this Saturday. Guess our mugs of fans shall just have to wait and see. billyg
If he's out for 8 weeks, we might not see him in a Saints jersey again as they'll be trying to cash in on him in January !
TopCat
If he's out for 8 weeks, we might not see him in a Saints jersey again as they'll be trying to cash in on him in January ! Why? We will get a large amount of compensation for him in the summer if he leaves. I doubt we'd get more in January,

Mid Calder Saint
Billyg. Our hopeless manager clearly stated that John should be fine for this Saturday. Maybe he doesn't talk to the medical staff.

davidg
And Thommo said yes so is he a big twat? Exactly, it's not TC'S fault. Thommo knew he needed an operation, he wanted to try soldier on and play through it. Got to the stage he couldn't any more and ever considered not going for it. TsuMirren
And Thommo said yes so is he a big twat? Not really, but its up to the manager to identify that the player isn't ready even if the player is a life long fan and desperate to contribute. You can't blame Thommo for being keen, though I was told he said no.

Dibbles old paperboy
Tommy Craig saying after DUFC game that McGinn took a knock to his knee during the Ross County game and there is bruising on the bone and he should be OK for next game... mind you he also said Plummer might make the ICT game and would definitely be ready for Ross County. TsuMirren
You seriously think Thommo said no he wasn't ready to play, but played anyway? Unbelievable As usual, everyone's timeline is f**ked. He was asked before the game he started on the bench, he said he felt he couldn't start....so yes, he said no to "Are you ready to start". You're saying he wasn't asked before he was started the Dunfermline game? That it came as a surprise to him? Surely, if that was the case he would have let Tommy know when he read the teams out? I'm saying nothing about the Dunfermline game, but again it's up to the management team to decide if a player really is ready.
