Seems to have been released at the same time as Louis Lang, who played for 'Well on loan last season and has now signed for them permanently.

Looks like injury played a major part in his release from Sunderland. Played 40 games for Blyth last season, so looks like his injury has cleared up.

Decent left backs are difficult to find, so fingers crossed that the drop down in level has allowed him to rebuild his career and play at a higher level.

Seems that it was a double cruciate ligament injury on the same knee that has hampered his career.

Jim McAlister was hoping to get a deal with us Motherwell or Kilmarnock as he has a house in Uddingston . However not keen to drop down a league so suppose that's us out but you never know. His agent had a heated argument with the Dundee American owner . Jim does not want to sit down to do a deal with the Dundee owner so is looking for a club.

Jim lives in Ralston. He has quite a few offers at the minute as well as a 2 year deal on the table with Dundee. No chance he will sign for us.

Can assure he does not live in Ralston unless he is telling porkie pies. He was visiting his parents in Rothesay last week can't think why he would make that story up.

Yep pay for newspapers are finished. I haven't bought one for about ten years and I never will again. Don't really know of anyone

under 30 who regularly buys a paper.

Why read day old news and a couple of people's opinions for a fee... When you can read up to the date news and hundreds of opinions for free?

Even if some of the opinions are faraway saints, it's still far better value...

Because some of these opinions are from you ? Edited by Iamhammer

Must be telling porkies or you've misheard mate. I can assure you he lives in Ralston. I know his father in law and he lives round the corner from him in Ralston.

I've never seen the lad play and don't know a thing about him but I asked one of my mates down at Sunderland and he said that he had initially took a fair bit of time to settle into the development set up and struggled. Over his time there he improved to be a fairly steady if unspectacular player before injury. He reckoned that Kevin Ball would have released him anyway regardless of the injury.

That info is worse than a flareybob wind up.

I mean, come on, do you expect us to believe you have any mates?

Not sure if this has been mentioned so far. Saints are close to signing Danish 6ft 6 inch central defender Mads Ibenfeldt who will play against Ayr tonight. Evening Times

Thanks for the heads up going forward.

Good luck to the big chap.
