Wow, you missed the fact that Sunderland don't have an airport......

Give it a couple of years and we'll be back in our rightful place above Newcastle

Is it cold... in the shadow....

This would explain the Kennedy for saints assertion, if Ross were only to last 2 months then the bod have obviously planned for Kennedy to keep the chair warm until Jack is free again.

Both clubs have a great history and fan base.  Both places are bigger than Paisley.  Both grounds hold around 50000 people. What's not to like?

Well apart from one will play City .united. pool and chelsea in front of 51k the other will play Luton. Wycombe .plymouth and some other massive club in front of 20k. Stadium of Lights out

West Ham now play in one of the biggest stadiums in one of the world’s great capital cities. They are getting big crowds, and are a Premiership club.

Sunderland are a third tier club who are in the shadow of Newcastle as a club and a city, never mind being in London’s shadow. I’m genuinely not wanting to kick a third tier club when they’re down, I merely argued (pretty well in my opinion), against your assertion that Sunderland are easily, and I quote, one of England’s top 10 biggest clubs.

Frankly, no you fcuking aren’t.

It's  a St Mirren forum so wont talk about safc too much but Sunderland fans are very selective  when  it  comes to the history of nufc and themselves Pozbaird. They'll  say they've  won more domestically but forget Newcastle  not having been in the 3rd tier and that nufc have played 100+ European ties.

Even the FA think their woman's team is Third tier. Demoting them two divisions for next season. emoji23.png

Why the sudden agression towards Sunderland? They have just put money in our pockets for a manager who did a great job for us and was ready, and in a hurry,to move on. Happy to let the Geordies and the Makems argue about their past and their future. Stats show Newcastle as the more successful of the two at 9th with Sunderland at 14th. Dammed good going. Both with huge stadiums. Great rivalry between these two North East of England behomoths. Wonderful. Enjoy.

When your howling at the replies subsides, you know what you’re left looking at? Sunderland down in England’s third tier and St Mirren and Newcastle in their respective countries top flights.

Howl at that reply. GIRFUY. In a nice way.

This argument seems to be like deciding whether it's better to have chlamydia or syphilis.

I’d rather have them than McIntyre or Neilson.
