I liked big Curtis but we are not missing him and I would argue have improved, we have more options up front now and Mandron doesnt get penalised by the "Main" factor where refs seemed to give him very few fouls for even when they were clear but plenty against him.

A really fantastic result today with an exceptional goal! Tanser is certainly, for me, is most improved this season.
11 points from 5 games, 7 from 9 away is massive at this stage of the season. What I do like is that we are going under the radar to some degree, yes we are being praised but not to the degree of getting carried away.
Last season, in my view, we had our worst spells were when there was speculation about the manager being linked with other clubs. We have got past the Hibs speculation and kept our focus. Although Aberdeen could be on the horizon……
A great journey so far 👏🏻👏🏻

Sadly I feel that SR didn't think Joe was quick enough for a back three which was was the preferred option.  Joe was a player who gave his all every time he put on the jersey, no matter the formation being played.  Dundee are getting a diamond.

If I wanted to convince everyone of how much I cared about the club, I would absolutely pose outside the stadium in my home top looking like I’d been sent to bed with a skelped arse and no dinner.

I’d also make public that I was refusing to help the 240 paying members of a wee club I ran because of my own drama.

Then, and only then, could I be Mr. St. Mirren.

The way the game finished yesterday neatly summed up the entire week.
Someone needs to get control over this nonsense, get folk round a table and bang some fucking heads together.
This is a fan owned club and I can tell all those involved, on BOTH sides, that the whole episode is EMBARRASSING those fans.
To have the manger even have to speak out about it in his presser two days before a massive game was also EMBARRASSING.

Well this went down the usual pattern quite quickly. Not wishing to fuel the fire, but these are serious allegations that I can't imagine have been made lightly, as such has anyone seen any of the documents in question.  It strikes me that this is quite easily resolved, if AW has information of wrongdoing he has a legal obligation and a moral one to make this available. It can't be used solely as an election campaign point.

"A lot of shite" is some way to describe 1300 of your fellow supporters who ensured the major shareholding of the club could be owned by the fans.
A group who have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds over the last few years on discretionary spend projects that have benefited the club, the academy, the charitable foundation and the local community.

St Mirren (a real football club) can’t  ever play against “Rangers” as that club died of not paying its tax dues, a dozen or so years ago.
Its erstwhile fans ( including fartaway) try to maintain the delusion that the cheating club kept going, despite the reality that it’s umpteen million fans never rallied round to subsidise it.  It died.  It is deid.

St Mirren fans help their club to keep going - despite the hurdle of the bigoted new club’s subsidies from semi-literate bigots who know better, while canny speculators milk them of their bigot pounds.
    The thread title COULD BE:
Rangers International Football Club (the company that actually owns the playing part of the business).
    OR
    THE RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB.
Two legitimate moly formed companies trying to keep the money-spinning game alive!
    RANGERS on its own died.
Deid.  Expired. A shameful failure to pay its taxes - the taxes that all companies and honest citizens paid.
I have no surprise that it’s old fans (like fartaway) keep hoping that the world forgets, even in a wee obscure fitba forum, like ours.
    But we don’t.
I am sure that this helps.

Give Joe a new contract - now! Most dangerous defender we have and far better than Dunne. Strolled that today.

One of my first heroes, Billy The Fish was a Saints stalwart.
His handsome athletic frame and agility made him the legend he is. His caps whilst playing for Saints testimony to his skill.
    Gone far too young.
RIP Billy. Thanks for the memories.
Condolences to his family and friends.

Labour leader reported for Conflict of Interests
Posted on May 8, 2013 by KennyMac Councillor Mark McMillan, the current leader of the Labour administration of Renfrewshire Council, has been reported to the Standards Commission for a clear breach of the councillors code of conduct.
Councillor McMillan not only failed to declare an interest in a debate on his employer receiving a council contract, but he actually took part in the debate – declaring that, “I am happy to support this project”.
The SNP group in Renfrewshire Council were concerned about a project which came before the Economy and Jobs policy board.  This project involved using the Kibble social enterprise to clean up areas of Paisley High Street.  However there was no information on what they were meant to do, what training was involved for trainees taking part in the project and even how much trainees were to be paid.  This is in contrast to the Labour leader’s oft stated remarks that he would use procurement rules to ensure everyone working for companies employed by the council would receive the living wage.
When questioned about a number of issues relating to this project, the meeting became heated and Cllr Mark McMillan made his comment, “I am happy to support this project”.  At no stage before, during or after the debate did Councillor McMillan declare an interest in the issue despite him being employed as a public policy advisor for the Kibble – the same organisation he was happy to hand over £25,000 to for cleaning up the High Street.  The convener then closed the meeting, ruling out an SNP amendment as incompetent – even though there had been about twenty minutes discussion on the issues it raised.
At the following full council meeting on 25thApril the SNP group put forward a motion on the issue, hoping to get some of the answers that the administration refused to give at the policy board.  However, the Labour Provost struck off the motion and hurriedly closed down the meeting.  However, at the beginning of this meeting Cllr McMillan did declare a non-financial interest in the issue.  It seems he realised that he had broken the rules at the last meeting.
Councillor Kenny MacLaren (SNP – Paisley North West) and member of the Economy and Jobs board stated:

“What is the role of the Council Leader in awarding this contract to his employer?  At the policy board meeting one council officer stated that it was Kibble who approached the council seeking funding for the project – who advised them to do this, their public policy advisor?”

Didn't think we were very good today. Fraser and Main were decent and Carson had a couple of very good saves. The midfield worked hard but struggled to influence the game. A welcome 3 points though.

I guess we’ll find out on Wednesday if the Aberdeen players had downed tools or whether they really are just shite.
As for today, we lost our way when Offord came on. Ball stopped sticking up front and Motherwell got much more possession. Thank f**k they were too shite to do anything with it.

    Today’s ratings.
    Carson - Very good
    Strain - Poor
    Tanser - OK
    Fraser - Briliant
    Dunne - Decent
    Gogic - Good
    Erhahon - Very good
    O’Hara - Very good
    Kiltie - Decent
    Main - Good
    Greive - Good
    Subs were all ok.

Directors not taking responsibility seems to be common.
After quite confidently stating he wasn't responsible for the Ralston refurb project which doubled on original £200k estimate, Gordon Scott was asked why he wasn't involved, given his construction back ground.
" I wasn't asked to" was his jovial reply.
Says it all sadly.  Quite happy to wear the blazer though.
