Apart from reading and watching so many memories of a great St Mirren player it made me think he was even greater than what i thought.

How many players can say they were signed or played for three of the great managers. Alex Ferguson, Bob Paisley and Jock Stein.

Seems some of us have reached the time of life when sweet memories become bittersweet.  Such a sad way to go.
I remember the pre-season of 75, maybe many Saints fans were thinking like me, is this guy worth all the interest and excitement coming back in the reports from Fergie's mad Carribean tour?  Didn't really need to worry, did I?  
The football of the next couple of years was what I lived for and Frank epitomised everything good about our amazing side.  A complete bag of tricks who mesmerised defenders. Up in the terraces, we all saw what he was up to but close up to defenders  he was often unplayable.  I didn't get angry about him going to Liverpool, it just upset me and the same was true when he moved back to Glasgow.  When he came back to Love St I instantly felt as if all the unfullfilled promises of his first term could be fufilled and that goal against Hearts is still in my mind.  
It's not enough to say thanks for his time as a Buddie, life was exciting and unpredictable for us fans then but always a joy because of Frank and his ilk.  Rest in peace, great man, and see if Pele is up for a game of best of 5.

Strain was the standout for me, if there was one.

At the end of the day, they have a right to voice an opinion. Even unfurl their "reasonable" banners against the monarchy. the rangers didn't get pulled up for the sillhouette of the dead queen at their recent game. If you allow one side to show support for the royal lineage then you should allow the other to condemn them. It's called freedom of speech. A rule too many in the establishment think it right to run roughshod over.

Like you and many others, we were at that game 0-5 but as you say, nobody cared thankfully [emoji2]

It honestly makes a huge difference driving back after a win but thankfully even defeats bring us back

Anyone who is anyone down here we know ALL know about Saints, it’s not optional [emoji2]

Only our 2nd game this season we usually make about 12 I think

It’s great hearing other people share their Saints stories and journeys, THATS what I enjoy the forum for and obviously my superb predictions to helping Faraway with his bets [emoji4][emoji2]

Just home, my youngest boys 10/12 have been watching Saints for a few years now and recently Leeds Utd - they said ‘Watching Leeds beat Wolves and Chelsea was amazing, but watching St Mirren feels like our club’

Several players stopped to let the boys get a picture today which was also special for the boys and easier at Saints than an English club [emoji4]

Thought the players worked their butts off today and thoroughly deserved the win. Reckon under Goodwin we wouldn’t have seen that out but Robbo has brought in a bit of dig that has been missing. Hitting on the counter is how we are set up and I’m loving it ! COYS 

Another great 3 points. Again like last week the team work so hard. Baccus might be the find of the season. Thought Marcus Fraser was MOM. But again you could have picked any of the starting 11. Main was excellent again. Gallagher was superb at the back as was Strain who looks another great find. Coys

Fair play to Robinson. There's a reason teams are playing rubbish against us. We are magnificent 😍. Squad looking stronger than at any time since 2013. Mon the saints.

Contrary to a few of the previous posts, I'll be disappointed if big Joe was to leave us in this transfer window.  IMO he has been a standout player for us since he signed, with only a few shaky moments this season. He also represents a serious up-front option at dead balls or if we're chasing a game close to full-time. If true, we could live to regret letting him go.

Great team performance. We never stopped pressing United. Nearer the end, when we tired, we ended up sitting deeper, but we worked tirelessly to close them down.
Ayunga was superb. Only thing missing was a goal. The turn that led to "superstar" Levitt getting booked was sublime.
All three in midfield were brilliant. Baccus managed to reign it in after his booking without compromising his overall contribution. a very mature performance.
Thought we defended extremely well against the pace of Middleton and the height of Fletcher/Mulgrew/Edwards.
Carson, who is proving to be an excellent signing, had a faultless performance, and his save from Niskanen was outstanding.
Looks like Robinson does know what he's doing and some of our excellent passing moves today were unlike anything I've seen from us for a long time.
