Anything but aimless , just watched it again and Wallace looks up and sees Obika and lifts it over the two cart horse defenders.

I don’t rate Mullen as a starter but he’s a good impact sub. Plenty of energy, a pain in the ass for tiring defenders, and crucially, while not a major goalscorer he can pick a goal out of nothing as he’s willing to strike from range when he gets the space to.

As I say above I would never start the lad, but he can still change a game later on. Ffs he’s got to be better than Andreu.

I agree but Kirk Wank Broadfoot buggering off at the last minute scuppered that, Jim will address this in the summer i have no doubt.

Are players not allowed to be proficient in more than one position now?
There are plenty of professional football players who play equally well in more than one position. Also, many players as their careers progress start to flourish in positions different from the start of their careers.
Ryan Flynn (uninjured) just happens to be one of them. Tommy Turner was one too.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I lay no blame about these transfers to anyone.
Wank Wank Broadfoot basically left us in the shit by stating in the latter stages of deadline day he wanted out. At that point it was pretty much confirmed he’d stay here and rot in the reserves, or just bump him off the wage bill. Goodwin wasn’t left with much choice, there’s no point keeping a player who isn’t going to give his all for you. The blame here lies squarely with Wank Wank Broadfoot, who could have stated his intentions earlier on in the month and allowed us to find the cover needed. And for all you know, if he stayed, it might have been him limping off injured this week and we’d have been saying “oh, we should have punted him now”.
As for McGinn, it’s cash for a player who would have been gone for free. At the time, Hodson was a good replacement, and we’ve known Flynn has covered the position will. Like I say above, had Paul got injured this week for the rest of the season we’d be sat here wishing we took the money. You can’t see who’s going to get injured in the future and when, and the deals at the time made sense. The situation now is worrying, but I have no qualms about how Jim and the board acted regarding these transfers - Wank Wank Broadfoot was a c**t and we did cover the McGinn situation well. Injuries leave us short but had Flynn got injured without these transfers taking place, and McGinn instead of Hodson, we’d be lamenting the same situation.

    Yawn.
Add up the league goal tallies of any other two players in this team. No matter who you combine, no couple matches Obika’s tally of 5.
He might not set the heather alight, but this onslaught on him is just f**king ridiculous.

Taking the proposal at face value I see it as a positive.
I would welcome potential improvement to the current infrastructure and guidance/assistance in certain areas which we are currently pretty shit at.
I understand fan concern but doubt that that Kibble as a charity will be looking to ruffle feathers.
To make this easier and more comfortable for some fans then why not include an option to buy Kibbles shares if things (unexpectedly) don't pan out. They can have a 5 year trial period so no different to what we have with GS and if it becomes unviable and detrimental to the club then so be it If it we purchase their shares. If things are going well then let's keep it going and Smisa have additional funds in the pot which would give the club better financial stability.
Could even include a review to purchase Kibble shares every 5 years for example but would imagine this wouldn't be required.
If Kibble are in it for the right reasons, which I am pretty sure they are then I can't see why they would object to the above. Could be a win/win rather than draw/lost/lost/draw/lost/win/lost again.

I see Rangers have recalled Jake Hastie from loan with Rotherham, as he wasn't getting enough game time. If we are in the market for another winger I wonder if this is a possibility. Goody took him on loan to Alloa last season. Would be a fantastic signing.

It's almost *almost* as if LPM is trying to make this a 'look at me' exercise.
    Well I never!
Mind when the usual conspiracy theorists suggested sinister goings on with SkyView sponsorship as they are known asset strippers? Still waiting on that happening.

    A decent point.

Very good defensive performance but we offer f**k all in attack.

    Obika shouldn't be missing that.

    A change required in attack.

We have to keep McLoughlin if possible. He has kept the defence together brilliantly in the absence of Kirk etc

Good effort throughout the game. But silly mistakes are costing us goals. Thought McLaughlin was excellent along with Foley. But just didn't have enough to win the game. At least our goal diff didn't take a nose dive. On to Sunday and hopefully a win. Coys.

What about Cammy - a real star at the weekend? (Turned defence into attack regularly and could have had 2 or 3 goals - getting into scoring positions)
Truth is we have a lot of decent players WHEN they play at their best... issue is consistency and how many are at their best in each game.
If 5 or 6 have a great game, we are a very decent team - last Wed I'm not sure if we had 1 or 2 who were at their best. At the weekend we had a fair number who performed really well - P. McGinn, McLoughlin, Flynn (reliable and 100% work ethic too), Cammy, Durmus, Morais and Cooke when he came on. The later 3 should all have scored but if we create that number of chances it is only a matter of time before they bang some in...
Add in Obika, Waters, Magennis and Hladky who did not play badly either.
And that is without Kirky, Foley, and MacKenzie.
Come on JG get them fired up for 2 wins in a row please.  Come on players more of the same possession, fight etc. with more clinical finishing please !

Every season in the SPL is league survival.
Cup runs make memories. The cup is our best chance of success and I would easily take relegation if we won the cup. It’s also the only chance we really have of ever making a return to Europe.
We don’t expect to win the cups, but it’s always something we should be aiming for. No one expected us to take the League Cup in 2013, but we did it.

Heard Celtic fans around me saying Jim Goodwin has them organised. We did not disgrace ourselves the back line held well with support from midfield. Obika played the lone striker well. Every sub made by Goodwin was an attacker. Heard not one bit of bigoted bile where I was sitting last night which was a pleasant surprise. We just need goals boys and girls sort that then we will be fine. Heard the Saints fans a few times so well done.
