I suppose we should be grateful we are even contemplating a top six finish but to get so close and get a doing today is hard to take

Doing what we do best at Ibrox, shit the bed.
The week off had made us worst, and this standing off of them instead of getting into their faces is awful.
Do the players/ management not watch how other teams at least make them have to work to win, where we just throw the towel in right away.

We’ve just done to county what teams have done to us for years. When you’re down at the bottom end of the table it seems that the fine margins go against you.
maybe it’s our turn to be on the right side of these things for a change.
that’s a huge result given our injury list and fixture demands . Well done boys!

I admire the optimism on here.  I’m a big shite the togs who thinks we will struggle as they will want revenge after our recent win against them. I will be watching with my scarf on and bog roll handy.

Penalty my big fat arse! Is that what constitutes a penalty these days? More like a yellow card for diving.
our goal must be the team goal of the season. We at last seem to have some heart in the team. Minor setback and we have shown that we come back well from adversity.

Goodwin took some stick after last Sunday and rightly so . Then to put a team out that scores 5 at Tannadice and change the team again and score 2 at parkhead is nothing short of miraculous.
if  losing last Sunday helps Goodwin and the team to grow then I will take that.
To come out and produce those kind of performances after what was a huge disappointment shows that there is something pretty special about our whole set up.
I love my team. Still buzzing and as most of my fellow countrymen here are Celtic fans then its all the sweeter .

Jim Goodwin was the only person in the stadium who actually knows what it’s like, and more importantly what it takes, to captain a team to cup winning glory. It makes his team selection and tactics all the more baffling.
Connolly was on a yellow. So what? He was the one spark of creativity we had and he took him off!
Once we went behind you could see that no one knew what to do.
I still can’t understand why you would set out not to lose a semi final and not try and win it from the first whistle.
    still gutted

That’s a couple of folk now said that Tait was our best player yesterday.
I’d agree Tait was definitely one of very few to come out with any credit, but I thought McCarthy was comfortably our best player, head and shoulders above the rest.
Consistently solid in defence and was the only one for me to make any real probing passes when playing out of defence.
After being really impressive last season I felt he made a bit of a shaky start to this season, but for the last 2 or 3 months I think he’s been fantastic.

Was also unlucky yesterday when generating arguably our only genuine attempt at goal.

I really hate to say this but now that I’ve calmed down I will. I think that Goodwin believes himself to be some sort of tactical genius and beyond reproach. He has an irritating habit of answering a question  by saying “ listen” then going on about how he sees the game which seems far removed from the reality. Of course he is a club legend for captaining us to cup glory but he needs to look in the mirror. He comes across as arrogant which would be fine if we were winning regularly but we aren’t.
