Steven Naismith is possibly a good shout.
He, (like Goodwin and unlike Brown) seems a decent character.
Ross is a backward step (for him and Saints) and he is unlikely to be motivated in the St Mirren job.
We are likely to go for a promising but untried candidate - so Naismith or Bartley would fill that bill.

The players are professionals who hopefully want to win every game. I can't see there being much change to the shape or recent starting lineup tomorrow. 
I do agree though, this is a distraction especially the longer it goes on. With any luck its done and dusted tomorrow. 

Win percentage of around 50% in both jobs. His failures in both jobs were down to choking in big games, a bit like us last season.
He is probably the best out of work manager out there, despite what Aberdeen fans thought. 

Great bowler as well. Seen him at the National Finals at Northfield a few times.

Leaves a bad taste with Goodwin jumping ship to Aberdeen mid season, Jack Ross got crucified for a lot less, terrible timing.

If he goes to Aberdeen he should be made to take that lump of wood Waters with him.

Also, if he leaves it will mean he has been successful and done a good job. Thats the goal here, to appoint a manager who will be successful and do a good job.
90%+ of managers we hire we end up sacking, so lets not pretend that a manager leaving for a bigger club is a bad thing.

Very strange comments going around social media about if jack comes they want reassurances that he won’t just leave.

I like everyone else got annoyed when he was signing our players but that’s him doing his job what he’s paid to do I wouldn’t want him coming here knowing he could get a player in from his ex club that would improve us but deciding it’s not fair on them il just leave him.

I absolutely love Robert Snodgrass as a player and he is a top class human being too.
Would just have a slight concern about whether he might just be over the hill now or not.
Surely he could still do a turn in the Scottish Premiership??

Things are definitely looking bright and agree that the new signings are making a big difference to our threat. Kiltie almost feels like a new signing too.
I’ll hold my hands up and say that after I’d seen him a few times I thought we’d signed a duffer. Since he’s been given his chance again recently though he’s been like a different player.

Massive 4 days coming up- a chance to propel ourselves up the table and probably put any relegation fears to bed. And then a great chance of reaching the Cup Quarterfinals.

Think Flynn deserves more game time. Thought he was the player that turned the game against Motherwell last week. Shit game and we did not deserve the win in the end but anything +ve in the 2nd half happened when he came on.

I'm sure Ethan will turn out a big player for us , but he isn't at the moment , hence the signings of Power and Gogic. His head seems to be in the clouds half the time , concentration seems to be a problem. Against Aberdeen he came on late for Ronan and the first thing he did was attempt a dummy in the midfield area , the ball going to an Aberdeen player who started an attack. JG was giving him pelters about it after that attack broke down .
