Can we make £100k from all the things JD get for their money? Don't see why not.
JD don't just get the shirt supply deal for their money. They also get the shirt sponsorship, probably the main sponsorship opportunity the club has, which must be worth a fair amount. They also have a hell of a lot of branding around the stadium and the dome sponsorship (although that's probably a different deal).
You wouldn't get one company to replace the JD cash but there's no reason why the kit couldn't be supplied by one firm, the shirts sponsored by another (different ones on home and away if necessary), yet another replacing the branding in one/all stands and so on.

If we're really honest with outselves, Baird is terrible. Has been poor since he broke through. He is nowhere near good enough. Because he came through the ranks should not exempt him from criticism.

for the players tunnel, the goal line clearance v Rangers where 4 or 5 St Mirren players are photographed from behind the goal all jumping together to clear a ball off the line.
Slogan would either be             One town One Team. This is St Mirren   or In it together.
For the other vomitories, I'd use the same slogan (to keep the message consistent) but use other iconic/memorable pictures too. A different phot in each vomitory

Really don't know what to say. Embarrassing is one word that comes to mind. Not one of the starting line up gets pass marks. They were rank. If you were not there I can't tell you how bad it was. No, but who in the club approved it for production? When I did them in 2012/13 they made up first-off samples for approval and also produced a set of their own drawings for approval from my designs before proceeding with production. Please tell me the kits actually going on sale don't have the names of the team being honoured fcuked-up on them.

Aim of the fans council:
To act as an intermediary between the Club and the Fans
To share knowledge and best practice and to improve relationships between the various stakeholders, in particular the relationship between the Fans and the Club.
To provide a good communication flow, between the Club and the Fans.
To provide a platform for the Fans to ensure they are involved in appropriate decision making.
To act as the prime movers in various fund raising initiatives for the mutual benefit of the Club, the Fans and the Community.
I assume they are beavering away behind the scenes to improve communication as there's been zero evidence of this so far.

Fans Council communication is very poor. Nothing on their Twitter for a while now.

Mcginn and McLean were occasionally able to boss games against SPL clubs, Mallan can't do that in the championship. He us nowhere near the standard those 2 reached with us yet. Currently he's a dead ball specialist and isn't worth anywhere near 300k

Think it's unfair a lot of the stick Agnew gets, came on yesterday at 2-0 down and had a decent game, definitely improved with the substitution.
Think it's a common thing that players who've came through our youth seem to get away with a lot more than players who didn't, mallan obviously has talent but yesterday and last few games for me was poor, Agnew had the better game once he came on picking out passes, yet level of stick aimed at him was more than anyone else.

Why are people surprised/angry that at 2-0 down we put on an attacking midfielder for a defensive one? What would have been the point in subbing Quinn for Goodwin

I can just imagine the reaction of some folk on here if, at 2-0 down, the manager had decided to replace an injured midfielder with a more defensive player.

Let's face it we could sign Messi and some on here wouldn't be saying meh.

Agreed. He talks a good game and comes across well. I find the boots thing funny personally. I never had an issue with coloured boots but I hated kids wearing blades, particularly on a plastic pitch. In the close up of the boots on the rack there's blades shown. I know that's probably first team players boots used on grass and it's probably just an edit thing but that jarred with me.Also Longwell talks about the pressing game and about playing the ball out from the back. Fair enough, I prefer that style of play too - but under Ian Murray the team were playing a completely different style with the sitting deep and the Langfield punt so there's a clear disconnect there.
Longwell also confirms what other pro youth coaches have told me. He's got one or two "talents" in each age group. Nothing wrong with that at all. If the Academy produces two high quality sellable talents per year that would be extremely successful, but what about all the other lads who are just making up the numbers? Isn't there a better way to develop Scottish kids in football? If nothing else is it right that pro youth football grasp such of the games resources when it clearly isn't that efficient in terms of success?
A good interview though none the less. Now if only the club structure would allow for a scout to be hired to recruit kids into the club without the first team coach having to weigh up long term advantage against having an extra player in his squad.

This is just another Murray bashing thread poorly hidden by attacking one of his signings which then puts the blame on him.
This football club has went through a lot since Danny left but it's time to get some stability back and that won't happen sacking Murray a month into the season ffs. Give the man the season and as long as we're not relegated I'm happy. Very hard task to go up this year but let's give it a go through the play offs and if not build on it for next season with the same manager.
On aggy btw I feel he's decent enough, clearly got a good shot on him and should be playing further up the pitch, give the guy a chance same as Murray.
Positivity and actually backing the team may be a bit too much to ask of some on here but come on let's at least give it a go

I would expect our Chairman and manager to target getting back up as that should be the no 1 objective. However, it is an objective and not a guarantee as so many other factors are required to be taken on board, namely 2 clubs with bigger support and budgets. If we are to get promoted then our target is to finish in top 4. We will not win the league as Scumgers are a far better team (as they should be with their resources) so getting into the top 4 should be our first target/objective. Most here knew it would take time for a new squad and manager but writing them off with 90 points to play for is unfair. Despite our poor start, I think we will improve and reach the top 4. Whether we go up is another matter. It is a rocky ride but we have been there. Our team and manager need our patience and support, particularly our younger players.
