If you are going to do anything, I think you'd be better of getting one of those huge banners made that gets passed along by the crowd rather than pieces of card put out for supporters to hold up. We, as a support are rubbish with that kind of display and there'll be a fair few glory hunters turn up for the day that just aren't inclined to go along with a cards held aloft type of display.

As some of you may have seen on Twitter, a group of us are arranging a cup final display. 
These things take up a lot of time and effort. We've had mixed success with these in the past, but confident we know what we're doing this time around!
We've made up a gofundme page, if you could spare a couple of quid, it would really help us to buy materials.

Update 2, 24th Feb:
Have collected just under 150 names of people who want to join us for the display. Speaking with ticket office to ensure that we have our own section of the stadium (not restricting view for other supporters). St Mirren have given us information regarding safety etc. No issues.

Update: 13/03/17
I've been deliberately quiet on this during the priority sale for season ticket holders. As mentioned previously, it's only fair that ST holders got their choice first. General sale opens tomorrow at 10am, so we're now good to go with our section. With huge thanks to Campbell Kennedy, we've secured seats together for those up for a party - ideally located behind the goals (slightly to the right)
If you would like to join us - just ask the ticket office to sit in the "active" or "singing" section, (they'll know what you're on about) - and they'll give you a ticket in our part of the ground. We have space for over 200 buddies.  
As for the flag display, Motherwell have kindly agreed to let us in early to set up. Also confirmed that our flags fall within stadium guidelines. If you can volunteer some time pre match to help set up - drop me a PM. I shall repay you in beer.
This display does require mass participation. If you find a flag on your seat, wave it like hell as the teams come out. Keeping schtum on the specifics, but we think it'll show our club in a good light!

Yeah we know the black doesn't work. We've got a few ideas already. No black involved 

Keep sacking managers - an excellent plan. Keep sacking them until we get one who comes in and does a miraculous job with a squad of players which has been butchered and plastered back together by a long list of short term appointments, all of whom have got rid of a load of underperformers and signed their own batch.
 
We should still be in the Scottish League at that point, hopefully, playing in front of less than a thousand diehards, some of whom will still be plodding on with the notion that we need to keep sacking managers until we find a good one.
 
The alternative is giving time to one manager, the one we have. Make him the chosen one who gets to complete a full season from start to finish, from preseason til the final whistle of the final game, then assess him based on a length of time which should be considered the minimum term a manager should be given.
 
Nobody is saying he is the next Sir Alex Ferguson. He's a young manager who has had good spells and bad spells in his management career so far. Sacking our 5th manager in 3 years since effectively sacking Danny Lennon doesn't make us an appealing job for any manager with the proven ability to take us in the right direction. People wonder why John Hughes went to Raith but wasn't interested in the Saints job? Probably the revolving door to the manager's office that made him give it a miss.
 
It is time to take a more long term view on things, no matter what your opinion on the current manager. What is the alternative? Who would be next to get their 6 month stint in the hot seat? Who would take the job? How long before a section of the support are screaming for them to go?
 
Time for patience.

We need to get away from this mentality of - things ain't going well, sack the manager.
Stability is what we need. Not disruption. Farce of a thread.

Great update. Really enjoyed the improvement in communication between fans and the club.
Just need to improve on the park now!

What i wouldnt give for a player with the experience of say........Gary Harkins, Alan Gow, Andy webster or David Clarkson to dig us out of the mess we`re in. !!
Yes , experience helps but what we need is players with heart and fight at the moment, regardless of age. why dont we get behind this young guy & let him a t least pull on the stripes before writing him off ?!?

If it's a myth Richard then there's a whole heap of people who will be very interested to know why we've not been doing it for the past 3 years!
