Mr Zo
Was willing to get involved at Dumbarton last season assisting Ian Murray whilst unfit to play so I imagine if he is fit he would consider an offer of a 6 months or 1 year deal from us to get game time and get his career back on track. Still got a good number of year's left in him playing at a decent level if he can stay free of injury. That sadly is the big problem which may force him to hang up his gloves before he wants to. Mykey
Speaking to somebody last night who claimed a "pay as you play" deal is on the table and Gordon is quite keen. Sent from my GT-I8190N using Black & White Army mobile app
Murray7
Gordon is a fantastic goalkeeper. A pay as you play deal would be perfect, as long as it is within our budget.
Drew
Gordon is a fantastic goalkeeper. A pay as you play deal would be perfect, as long as it is within our budget. Would it, though? This - a pay as you play arrangement - assumes that the player couldn't be relied upon (through no fault of his own, of course) to turn out routinely. For most other positions, this needn't be a huge issue, but for a 'keeper? Clearly the guy is a very good goalkeeper, but we will need two players in this position who it might be anticipated would be able to play regularly. Perhaps we could get away with having Gordon in this capacity along with another 1st team level 'keeper, and have the U20 on standby. That might work. For all that, a fit Craig Gordon as our #1 would be a fantastic coup.

buddie
He would be luxury we can not afford, anyway Langfield will be our number 1 How will Langfield be our number one when he has a year left on his Aberdeen contract?
sm74
I'm not inclined to believe the Langfield one either, judging by his twitter he is very much looking ahead to his season with Aberdeen.
JM1
Why would Craig Gordon accept a pay as you play deal with us when he could get a normal full time contract with practically any team in the SPL and lower half Premiership/Championship clubs down South? If he genuinely feels he can still play regular first team football, someone bigger than us will offer him a better deal we could afford. They can afford to take that gamble as when fit, he's one of the best keepers in Britain.

He's already publicly stated that teams are scared to take him on and rumours that his career was over were false. If he wants to prove doubters wrong, then this is the ideal way. Isle Of Bute Saint
Can’t see a long term injury prone goalie being signed. Personally I have no worries in this department as it is our goalie coach who has picked names for Danny according to the PDE a couple of weeks ago. He has more money than a horse could shit, don't think remuneration would be his no 1 priority Of course it all depends on how he sees his options, however fwiw (!) I reckon he would indeed take a pay as you play , especially given his recent playing non history. Nowt to lose , lots to gain in professional kudos and aherm, shop window exposure so to speak
marrez
We must have someone lined up - Langfield is back at Aberdeen training a week tomorrow so it does not sound like its going to be him.

Scabby Dug
Stewart Gilmour said in yesterday's PDE that DL has an increased budget and he can work within it. He also said that DL knows his targets and he will deal with them to try and get them in
