Eric Arthur Blair Posted May 31, 2019 Report Posted May 31, 2019 Some top class zingers in here. I'm pretty sure this was our 99th season in the top flight and 2019/20 will be the 100th. https://cairterscorner.com/2018-19-chapter-four-premiership-fixtures-29-38-the-play-off-final/ Quote
Cairters Corner Posted May 31, 2019 Report Posted May 31, 2019 (edited) I'm very certain it was 98, but I will double check. Edited May 31, 2019 by Cairters Corner Quote

The 1939/40 season was abandoned after 5 matches due to the outbreak of WWII and in general excluded from all records. Totally subjective of course, could argue either way this forthcoming season will be our 99th or 100th in the top flight. Anyone got any thoughts on this? Quote

Even though the season was abandoned, it was still started. I would say the century celebrations should begin. Quote

spankin_panda Posted June 14, 2019 Report Posted June 14, 2019 Great read! Nice to read the sporting history of oor wee toon. I did spot this however and think, if they were still in existence there would be one or two saints fans from BAWA swapping allegiances.... Paisley Olympic FC; 'Paisley Olympic FC were made up exclusively of academics' Quote

Like the author if the accounts show extreme negligence I wont take out my season ticket next season. Will again when fan ownership takes over. Silence is deadly even with a SMISA member on the board. Will stick with SMISA but clearly some kind of restructuring is needed by members. Maybe things are not too bad. But if the accounts are in a bad state then SMISA needs to stand and be counted for the club. One crises to the next what is going on. Quote

oaksoft Posted July 25, 2019 Report Posted July 25, 2019 The really worrying thing is the lack of communication from the board. Talk of top 4 without an associated plan to allow us to buy into it is just nonsense. Gordon appears to have gone totally mute. We are clearly in trouble and I think some kind of communication would help. It hardly bares thinking about that we play Hibs next week with our squad in this state. I am certainly not a knickerwetter but I am asking myself WTF is going on. Quote

I have only read this, after posting two other items in different subjects saying much the same thing. Great post. Quote
