Due to the objects being throw at our young fans today I think the club should rethink giving extra stands to rangers. It is a disgrace and I hope the young girl and other fans who were hit today are OK.  I am disgusted however that is why I would not visit some stadiums. 

Why not put it to the vote ? 

It's taken me a long time to come to a decision about this and I had admittedly chopped and changed my mind on it but the events of Sunday have brought me to my senses.
I can no longer support the club's position on this. Neither Celtic nor Rangers should be allowed to take up seats in our own stands.
There are more important things than money. The club is doing very well on and off the pitch. The board needs to take a step back, stop thinking about the cash and re-consider their decision.

I like his interviews. I think he seems ambitious without getting carried away.

On safe-standing, this was the Chairman 3 months ago:
"We have also started down the road of introducing some form of safe standing area in W7. We have had discussions with Celtic, safe seating suppliers, and held preliminary talks with both the SPFL and our local council. This will not be something that happens next season but it is something we are looking at very seriously and will continue to investigate."
Personally, all for it, and I think the McGinn money will probably accelerate the process. The matchday and fan experience is hugely important to the board. 
Would be interesting to see the response though if SMISA members were consulted....

By all acounts the fee is somewhere in the upper regions of £2,700,000 - as Div said on Twitter the other day, this equates to the highest fee we’ve ever got from selling a player...

Can't imagine there's ever been 3 brothers in football who have all signed for the same club twice.

Great move for John and all the best. Personally I think Celtic have blown it big time and the only chance of them ever signing him will be if he does a Thommo. Sportsound reckoned that Celtic were offering their top wage scale and Villa doubled it. I can see John playing in the Premier league for many years to come.

Best wishes to John McGinn. Excellent career path - great to see a player who contributed to the St Mirren cause get two good moves and should be made for life. I will certainly be keeping an eye on Sunderland and Villa’s results this season as an aside from watching us.

The sell on fee percentage being a perennial reward for future sales is a great reward as long as the the player is bought rather than moving on out of contract. It means we as fans have more of a vested interest in former players doing well and is vindication of our investment in the youth policy adopted by the club. Hopefully that is the case...

I think he’ll go from strength to strength down south. If he does well with Villa you could easily see a £10million+ move in a year or two, specifically because of the cash in English football and because he has that potential.

Celtic have lost out big time as he seemed the natural successor to Brown.

In summary, great player, lots of potential, great move for him, Saints and Hibs and hopefully the gift that keeps on giving...well done Gilmour and co for your negotiation skills and to all those instrumental in his development in the youth teams at Saints as well as the managers who played him regularly and gave him time to develop.
