The team and management deserve all the praise that will come their way today.
I was worried when it went 2-0 that the atmosphere in the stadium would turn poisonous but from where i was it was the opposite. Great reaction from the fans and we got our reward for that.
Team that finished, except Goodwin in for Magennis is our best lineup IMO on current form. Mcgowan and Newton should be getting a rest for the next few weeks IMO.

Fantastic result and second half performance. Yes we did get the rub of the green, but we deserved it. Agreed with Danny that we should not have been 2 down, Motherwell were clinical. The goals we lost highlighted how important Kello is to us. McLean was MOM with MCGinn not far behind, a special mention too for Marc MacAusland. More of the same please against Hibs, Ross Co, Killie, Partick and Hearts. Have a good night Danny.

All these decades later, saints are still here, i am still here and life has been mostly fantastic regardless of what division the saints are in

Sorry Norrie but you are simply regurgitating what has been said on many other threads and countless posts within those threads. Everyone is fully aware of the situation and the long term ramifications but it is not going to change anything by continually talking about it on here. We are now at the precipice and as fans all we can really do is get behind the team to the best of our ability both at the game and any forums that we post on. I also hate the situation but as a club we have been here many times before and seen it through. Thats what comes with being St Mirren and its now time for all fans to stand up and be counted as personalities within the team come and go but the club will always remain. SMTID.

I agree with this.
We are in a bad place right now on a bad run with a sitting duck manager who all and sundry know will be leaving the club in the summer. We are favourites for 11th and rightly so.
However, we have what it takes within the squad and within the football club to avoid the dreaded trap door.
As fans we must accept that Danny won't be leaving the club until the end of the season. We therefore must stop focussing our energies on him and start focussing our energies on getting behind the team and getting the belief back amongst fans.
We can stay up without making changes. It starts on Saturday, let's get right behind the team and roar them to what will be a massive 3 points.

Having watched top level football recently such as champions league, top 4 premiership, it has struck me how little running the best teams do. It has become a fixation in Scotland that if you're not buzzing around like a blue arsed fly then you're lazy! What this in fact does is makes you knackered and ineffectual. The coaching in other countries is to make the ball do the work. Just watch yaya toure, iniesta, even some of the Celtic midfield and they don't do that much frantic running around. That's where Harkins got shot down when he was with us, hve cause he wasn't running around like a McGinn or McGowan he was seen as lazy when in another league he turns out to be a superstar. I think it's got more to do with our attitude towards how footballers should play than Harkins himself. This attitude is the reason Scotland can never qualify for a major championship, the opposition turn up and just let us do the running then pick us off at the vital moment, usually nearer the end when we're knackered. Our support put pressure on players to keep running constantly otherwise they're tagged lazy. We've lost a talented player in Harkins IMO

I'm guess that if the board were going to sack DL then they would have done so today.
Therefore, lets put the sack chat to bed and get behind the team for what is a massive game on Saturday. We can resume all chat at 5pm on Saturday.

Well you started to quote 'history' lessons.
As pointed out by others we have spent significantly more time in the top league than we have in the other leagues in Scottish football.
Your sole approach is to ridicule those who don't agree with you or find fault in your argument. So if you are going to quote history as being the basis of your argument, all I pointed out was that there have been lengthy periods when we have been a top flight team. History isn't just created over the last ten or twenty years, which is where you appear to glean your statistics.
