This isn't about luck, as in another thread showed we had 4 points after  8 games last year then went on to lose our next 6...................  its about recruitment, players management, tactics and overall a feel good factor.

If we lose two on the bounce our management team will work 24/7 to find an answer, not blame the old BOD, the new BOD, the fans or the weather..............................
And Fergie and Tom Hendrie both got us promoted and our therefore worthy Legends- Jack is well on his way but he needs this and really wants this, and the guy  who refused to let us be relegated , is  now delivering on promise 2....................... Promotion

People do know that our budget isn't aimed at spending every penny the club has at all times don't they? We may have money in the coffers - who knows? We shouldn't be blowing it all before the end of July on players when there is every possibility that we will need a contingency fund to cover possible injuries in the coming months. We also presumably, as a club, don't want to have big earners who are not in the manager's plans, so offloading them before committing to any more ongoing expense is the right way to do things.

I'm sure he has been coached in that position, given he played there against Dundee and we knew well in advance that Stelios was suspended so needed a solution to that. The boy had a torrid time, but I'm sure he can learn from it and will get backing from the manager and coaching staff who probably know now in hindsight it was a tough ask. We'll all move on, and hopefully see him back in the team doing better soon.

Nothing to do with his Celtic career. 
I don't think he's anywhere near the player he once was and would prefer not to gamble a big wage on him. I don't think having a lone superstar would fit into what Jack Ross is trying to achieve on and off the park. 
Just my opinion mate, really don't fancy the idea of him signing. 

Harry Davis and Gary MacKenzie as our central defence would be fantastic. Sign a decent centre forward and we will finish at least in the top 4.
 
 

Once fit Harry Davis will cigar this league, should be playing at a much higher level.

Gregor Buchanan fits the bill you mention above, as does Baird. I would be willing to take a chance on Davis knowing the quality he will bring when fit.

A guy on P and B seems to think Davis will sign by end of next. He was spot on about McShane to be fair.

As I mentioned, Loy was playing for a side on the up and Hardie was playing for a side in free fall. In effect, Loy was playing for a top 3 side and Hardie was playing for a side marooned at the bottom.
Therefore I think the description of "far more successful", in terms of the goalscoring comparison, is a tad over the top.
The previous season Hardie scored 6 in 10 league games with Raith. Better than Loy managed with St. Mirren.
My point here being that I think folk are being a tad hard on Hardie.
If Loy had been with us in the first half and Hardie in the second half, I reckon we'd all be talking about how shite Loy was and how great Hardie was.
The shite manager and shite team mates that Hardie had in the first half of the season maybe hindered him?
 

No doubt we will see his name appear in rumour mill in the future, probably every transfer window.

Jack, you are the real deal!
Thank you for confirming your position regarding returning our club to where it belongs.  You are already and will be an even more successful manager but spending 4 or 5 years here will teach you more than jumping around for a few quid or a dodgy promise of investment.
St Mirren and Jack Ross are synonymous for now and the potential is limitless.  Fergie took us from 1500 gates to 15000 gates and you clearly have the ability, honesty, drive and communication skills, not to mention football knowhow to equal that (even if we don't quite have the ground!). You don't need to sell the club to new players, they can see what is going on.  Same for the fans and the manager Jack!
Personally, I can't wait for next season and now we don't need to be distracted by press speculation.

Was really surprised at the comments on here over this non story.

I was firmly of the belief that not only was he not going to Dundee he wasn't going anywhere for that matter and the statement made was similar to what I thought , quite simply unfinished business and respect to the fans home & particularly away for outstanding support throughout the season.

Really was never in doubt IMO

Well done to St Mirren today. You can probably tell from my username that I'm a Hibs fan. Thought your team were a credit to your club today, worked their socks off and there was also no shortage of quality on display, particularly from Morgan and McGinn and to a lesser extent Mallan (IMO anyway). More than deserved your point, an argument could even been made that you lot deserved to pick up all three but hey ho, I don't think any of us particularly care now!
Also, massive credit to the St Mirren fans today. Filled the half of the stand you were given and made a hell of a lot more noise than the likes of Hearts and Rangers who bring double the numbers but about 10% of the noise. Not heard an away support like that at Easter Road in a long time.
If you could keep that squad together and add another couple decent players I think you lot could definitely win that league next season. When you lot beat us 2-0 you were probably the only team to have beaten us this season that actually deserved to. Whether you'll be able to do keep them together is the key but then again, with the job Jack Ross has done I'm sure he'd manage to replace them fairly well.

I think we will win the Championship or League One. 
Hopefully it will be the former. 
As the Season goes on we will be playing in front of 5000 plus crowds with the West Bank being a near total sellout every match.
