charlie reacted to Kemp in Welcome back Kirk Broadfoot
Highly amusing that the Morton media manager decided to announce Broadfoot was signing for Morton....only to realise he had the wrong end of the stick and delete the post!
Morton fans seemed to have their hope up too and aren't too happy getting a St Mirren player on loan instead

It’s been proven time and time again that Ethan should be nowhere near the full back slot. Try it long enough with Cammy and we will probably see the same result. Paul McGinn is already the starting fullback so he can’t be considered as cover.
I understand we can’t be two deep in every position, but we are barely anywhere near deep on defence. Aside from youth, we have one defender spare across the back four.
With Bairdy loaned out, we are confined to playing Waters-McLoughlin-MacKenzie-P.McGinn. If Kirk signs then we have one player as proper cover. We already know Waters is out for Killie matches (and could well be recalled in January). So what’s the plan if we suffer suspension or injury? Cammy and Ethan are not the answer, so unless we have a youth ready to step up, or have another free agent alongside Kirk that we are aiming to bring in, then our defence is going to be dangerously thin until January.

Don’t know about that, seen it quieter in the past.

Shambles.
The referee was clearly out his depth and shouldn't be refereeing in the top flight.
Constant cheating/time wasting from Livingston, hitting the deck whenever a challenge went in, GK booting the ball to f**k when Ginto scored and wasn't booked
But the fact is we didn't deserve to take anything from today's game. First half we were all over the place, A much improved 2nd half but we didn't really threaten the Livi goalie.
Big improvements needed for Dingwall.

Playing Danny Mullen as our main striker would be a start. Both Obika & Junior have had pretty easy chances in the last two games that Danny would have put away no problem.

I had a wee look too.
I've posted some random links from West, North, South and East:-
North Yuzhno
West Yuzhno
East Yuzhno
South Yuzhno
Do you remember it looking like this?
Interestingly enough, for those who think Scotland has poverty, pick a random country on Google Earth and have a look around. It's quite sobering.

charlie got a reaction from St.Ricky in St Mirren v Rangers (Date Change)
I was looking to buy a couple of tickets online for this game for my friend, who works in London. They don't yet appear to be for sale online yet. Is this common, or is it a service provider issue?

Got to feel for Greg Tansey. Unfortunately being a footballer, injury is an occupational hazard. Tansey possibly wound up with us because no one else would touch him. That said, I hope it’s not too serious although it does appear to have ended his career though as pointed out it was a pre-existing injury. However, for all professional footballers every game could be your last.
All the best Greg Tansey.

charlie reacted to norman in What player have we signed that has been successful that has surprised you most?
Craig Samson is definitely up there, low key signing at the time as a backup keeper, not highly rated, yet he became an absolute legend, league and cup winner and penalty hero. Andy Dorman as well. I'd never heard of him, came from the American league, yet was a brilliant player for us. Conor Newton is another candidate, especially after his honking debut.
Overall though, I think I'd go with Yardley.

Maybe Oan could ask his old man if he could send a couple youngsters over.
Joking aside, this looks like a worthy venture.

Really?? Not a competive kick in anger and you have us relegated and judging JG before his tea is cold in Alloa. You have even outdone Elvis FFS. Exactly why do you think we will finish bottom when our squad is incomplete? Just curious.

charlie reacted to djchapsticks in John McGinn
Correct, we are due 1/3rd of any McGinn fee to Hibernian.
This includes performance based clauses and crucially, sell on fees. Hibs are reported to have a sell on fee of 20% of whatever profit Villa make on him. If that is the case, when they sell him on, we'll be entitled to a third of that 20%.
His stock is massive as well. Villa would be wanting upwards of £20m for him.

Has anything been published anywhere credible which even uses the phrase "a source revealed"?
I haven't seen a single thing which has been quoted verbatim or sourced and that is quite odd.

charlie reacted to Julian Banjos in Merged: All The Oran Kearney Threads
Seems that OK led the club to believe that the commute would be a temporary arrangement. Now it's "well it all worked out so...."
Very difficult one. The club feel that trust has been broken and OK feels we're unreasonable.
Did Oran really think though that he could, indefinitely, be a full-time manager in Scotland whilst living in Northern Ireland? That's what I don't get...
