Brought up in Paisley, left in 1987 just after we won the cup to move to Fife. Been here ever since. Most active time would have been from 1997 to 2002 when I barely missed a game and had a season ticket. My attendance is pretty much limited to half a dozen away games now whenever we play Raith/Pars/Dundee/Dundee Utd/The Fakes/Hibs or Hearts with maybe one or two home games a season.
Main reason being working most weekends and having young kids.

I'm not entirely sure, but perhaps Hamilton or Livingston's fans don't spend 90 minutes shouting abuse at their more talented players.

Jason Naismith could probably do a better job of trolling a fans forum.

I like many others thought we were getting a decent player who'd played at a higher level for his entire career and couldn't understand the sniggering coming from Dons fans I knew and the 'wait and see' attitude.
Bottom line is he's not a good goalkeeper.
It doesn't matter that he'll pull off the odd great save if he's going to keep giving the ball away and cancelling that good work out.
Also doesn't matter that he apologises on Twitter after each calamity and that he's obviously a nice guy.
He's a massive part of our on field problems right now and needs replaced.

You may have been watching them for 40 years, but clearly not supporting them for 40 years.
The old board are responsible for ensuring the existence of the club you claim to have been "supporting". Through thick and thin it has been a tough few years following St Mirren but without the old board this club would not even exist right now. Yes, that board ran out of steam and things have gone tits-up in recent years but without their commitment during the Reg Brearley takeover and for many years thereafter Paisley folk wouldn't have a local club at all.
But thanks for your support for 40 years.

Similar things have happened to me over the years.
 
Alex Ferguson asked me to play up front for Scotland at Mexico 1986 but due to being a pensioner I had to decline.
 
Alex Smith asked me to play up front in the 1987 cup final with the express instruction to score the winner during extra time.  I politely declined due to being a pensioner and said "why don't you get yon Ian Ferguson to do it".  I am unsure If Alex Smith listened.
 
Danny Lennon asked me to sit on the bench at the league cup final 2013 with the instruction "If we are 3-2 up you can come on and play centre half as I don't seem to like playing Lee Mair for whatever reason".  Again I had to decline on account of being a pensioner.
 
I did once spot a young fresh faced 21yr old striker playing for Johnstone Burgh.  Francis McAvitie or something was his name.  I told the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co about him at the time, I am unsure how that worked out.

I'm sure the "experts" on here who couldn't kick their own arse, never mind become a professional football player, know better.
