Tommy reacted to beyond our ken in Sunderland Speak To Jack Ross
I agree.
If JR has done a deal without getting permission from the board, who then get stuck with only pennies in compo, then I'd say that JR has done us a major disservice. Yes, he has performed admirably and that was rewarded with more resources and at least 2, possibly 3 improvements in his remuneration package. You would think that he would have told Sunderland he was happy to talk if they could agree terms in principle with the saints.
Sad though, that with all this success and speculation, we waited until he was on the costas before tabling an improved deal.

Fat Sally was nearly earning that while in the 2nd division

We now have umpteen threads full of teeth gnashers urging JR to make a decision pronto. He can't make a decision and their is no decision to make. As far as anyone on here knows he has not been offered another job so no decision to make. JR is the manager of SMFC and that will not change unless he is offered another job and he accepts that offer. Everyone needs to calm down and stop fretting. It's the start of the close season, JR and the players are on holiday and the transfer window is firmly shut. In other words calm the f**k down. Oh and please no more threads ffs, mods could do something about this it really is past a joke.

Tommy got a reaction from munoz in Jack Ross v David Hopkin. Who has achieved more?
I will assume you also forgot to say that under Ross, saints won 6 games more, scored more goals, lost less goals, had a better GD, won more points (12) than Livy and also actually won the championship, something Hopkin had never done

Tommy got a reaction from oscarkills in Jack Ross v David Hopkin. Who has achieved more?
Jack got his team promoted after 33 games. Hopkin will need 40 games so Jack is the winner

Amazingly I had forgotten about that squad valuation
I wonder where they've plucked that figure from. I can't imagine 1/3 of the world's population either having absolutely nothing else to do, being interested in this, staying up during the night to watch it or getting up early, plus the fact not everyone has access to TV. Would love to see how they made that figure up!

Unusual to have neither father present at their children’s wedding.

I did my best to miss this and the cup final. Push the wife in her wheelchair along a few miles of the Forth and Clyde canal and then went down to Dumbarton castle and spent the next hour walking up and down hundreds of stairs [emoji22] Then went to paisley for food and have now just hit the pub for the English game. Sore knees now but worth every push and every step [emoji16]

Tommy got a reaction from St.Ricky in Jack Ross v David Hopkin. Who has achieved more?
Jack keeping us up last season was a bigger achievement than Hopkin winning the 1st division with a full time team in a part time league, Sureky

Tommy reacted to pod in Jack Ross v David Hopkin. Who has achieved more?
Is there.
Jack done more than win the league. He had the team, the supporters, the management and the board all singing by the one hymn sheet. The first time we could call St.Mirren Park a fortress. A season to remember.

Another thing is that Jack wears those smashing cardigans while Hopkins wears natty jumpers , so Jack all the way

Tommy got a reaction from Dave The Buddie in Who do we want to win the play-off?
I see Goodwin still got his usual yellow card off the ref [emoji23] Dumbarton deserved all they get, even the ballboy behind the goal wouldn't get the ball. -
Tommy reacted to FTOF in Bye Harry , thanks for the memories
A bit of a blow, as you could see that he read the game very well and he did steady our defence somewhat when he came in. For that I am extremely grateful to him and wish him all the best.
However, and it's only my opinion, I thought he was a bit too easily bullied, particularly in the air, by more physical players, of the type we're going to have to cope with in every game in the top league.

It's a rare thing to get a fitba crowd getting praise from the rozzers but good to hear that they didn't report of any bother and gave a good report of us.

You have put too much thought into that mate. Just want this settled as quick as possible very frustrating.
