I actually know this guy. I haven't seen him for years though. We played in the same boys football team in Stevenston (Hawkhill BC).
His name is Gordon Sawers and believe it or not, he would only be 37 now. Although he seems to have been a regular customer at the Killie pie stall for the last 20 years.
Have to say in his defence that he was always one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.
Plenty pals, brilliant laugh. He was always a top bloke.
Absolutely mad about football. Playing it and supporting Killie. What a player he was too. He was on Alloa's books for a wee while and then spent the rest of his playing days in the juniors. He was always that wee bit over weight though and that is probably what stopped him becoming a good pro.

Any saints fans in Newcastle and Northumberland areas up for going to St Mirren games every week next season?
I am a Paisley born and bred taxi driver working out of Blyth and fancy starting to go to games again and I have 7 spare seats in my car.
Prices will be £20 return + match ticket across the board, no matter who we play.
Will aim to be there for an hour before the game and leave asap after the game.
If there is enough interest to make it financially viable, will be going to every game, home and away with exception of Hibs away on 26th of September, Alloa at home on 3rd October and QOS at home on 5th December due to family commitments.
If you are interested, in box me with your contact details and I will be in touch in due course.
Cheers for reading and hopefully see you soon.

I'm confused. You said Teale was only the assistant manager under TC, and therefore absolved of blame, but Ross, as assistant, gets the credit at Dumbarton...
    Which is it?

Maybe add a number 6 too.
    6. If you absolutely positively MUST take advice from fans make sure you rule out those that can't tell that the Motherwell and RC humpings were an utter embarrassment and that those 2 performances alone should be enough to seal Teale's fate.

Gary Teale shouldn't even be considered for the job in my opinion.
Yes, he took over a pile of crap from TC, but he had a transfer window to try and do something about it and somehow has managed to get us performing even worse than Craig did.
There is no way anybody can say that TC served us up anything as bad as the Motherwell and County drubbings of recent weeks.
We were shite under TC, but Teale turned us into complete shite.
    NO from me.
ETA... Butcher or Calderwood, as it should have been when TC went.
Actually! As it should have been when DL went.

    Here's a couple of possibilities:
Club "mibbee" sold - Deal to sell Argie consortium will be agreed "mibbee" this millenium.
    or
Ricardo Pini seen riding Shergar to his lunch meeting with Stewart Gilmour and Lord Lucan.
    Answers on a postcard.

Ok, I'll rephrase it as "more attractive than buying a debt ridden club", who you immediately have to bail out.
Buying St Mirren would be a case of getting straight down to business on an even keel.

I don't think this appointment necessarily means the "Argie deal" is dead.
It could be part of the plan. It's not at all unusual for things to be put in place before legalities are concluded.
It makes total sense to have someone with local knowledge running your commercial dept.

If we had a good team on the pitch it wouldn't matter where the ground was. We used to take 3,000 to places like Kirkcaldy and Ayr! It's all about the team and results and with this current board those aren't going to improve any time soon
