Absolutely disgraceful. Ashamed and embarrassed. That's I felt sitting there watching that dross. No desire no passion no effort. Cole whatever his name is. If Gary Mackenzie is no better than him he should retire. High ball to Mullen and Smith. Cut or loses and get rid of Stubbs and his cronies. Dire.

Even his twitter page is stunningly bad - nothing on it about accepting the job or looking forward to the season ahead - but he still has his photos of him as Hibs manager up and since becoming our manager (and saying nothing about that) has posted about Hibs a few times! Naive or what?! Even Alex Rae stopped tweeting about Rangers and included the occasional St Mirren and SMISA tweet!

Well it was always going to be a challenge tonight compared to last week by playing a Second Division amateur Club away from home as opposed to playing a non-League club at home. However we fielded probably our strongest team so we were in with a chance. WRONG. QP were by far the better team and created the best chances. In fact I only remember one weak shot by Mullan after 40 mins that we made in the whole game. But I am not downhearted as lots of posters have said that we are to give the players a chance to prove themselves. So tonight doesn't really count for anything. I'll wait for the miracle.

Cant beat a non league team; Cant beat an amateur side; Thrashed 6-0 by a 3rd tier English mob. Team has no pace, no creativity and side weaker all over the park,
Bring on the SEVCO

I wonder if fans are as happy now after 2 draws against Spartans and queens park as they were with the draw against killie..the team has been dismembered, metaphorically speaking [emoji849]

Yep. Record-breaking amount of season ticket holders being served up total drivel.

Can we not tipex out the signature on his contract, and pretend it was all a dream?

Can't shake the feeling that this is going to end up costing St. Mirren a lot of money at some point this season.

There is no excuse for any St. Mirren side not to beat a team of amateurs relegated from League 1 last season. Should be a comfortable win for us.

Mario Bilate, who was training with us, has returned to Holland.
(Shame his new club got his name wrong)!

Buddie-Boy reacted to lenziebud in At this point, what do we still need?
Did Jim McIntyre not get canned on this forum for too many players at Ross County ??.
Utterly fantastic job in his first season at RC, went onto win League Cup. Managed successfully for 3 season in Premiership. Disgracefully sacked in his fourth and club then relegated.
Bet we wish we could rerun the interviews again !

Why did our board not take notice !. It was obvious to anyone who did a bit of digging !

Will our cut of the McGinn fee be enough to buy out Stubbs’ contract?

That was a car crash of an interview. I am seriously unimpressed by Stubbs so far. Does not fill me with confidence at all.

I was not overly impressed by tonight's interview or his trialists. Here's hoping things can only get better... otherwise l fear more misery

Sorry to say it, but there's no doubt it looks like relegation stuff already. Stubbs needs to bin all these trialists he's bringing up and get in some players with good Premier League experience asap - Rice and Jackson should be advising him.

The decision to give Stubbs any contract at SMFC is a costly one.
I really hope I am wrong on this but nothing I have seen since making that point weeks ago on this forum has changed.
He failed at Hibs and Rotherham and has never managed at Premiership level.
Of the candidates for the job the vast majority of SMFC fans wanted him over other managers who had successfully managed at Premiership level

Have to disagree. It's more about attention to detail and being a professionally run outfit that cares about its customers. On the park and off St Mirren looked sloppy last night. Bit more pride and higher standards required.

I wasnt keen on the appointment of Stubbs and co however i am gaining confidence in our new set up as time goes on. I actually feel he may be better placed to take us forward than Jack given his contacts.
