You are being rather mischievious this evening John (I picked that up by someone referring to you by your first name, I have no idea as to whether it is accurate or not).
If a fan had a grievance with the pricing policy of a particular ticket type then I would imagine that some sort of voting structure would be an ideal way for such a fan to attempt to address such a grievance.
Such a format would be far better than than, say, being able to do nothing more than post negative comments on a forum!
If only such an opportunity would reveal itself.

For the first time ever on this forum I may actually have to give an insolent fellow forum user a piece of my mind.
Your poor attitude and the lack content in your post is below your usual standard (except in the rumour mill where I wonder about your sanity).
This is not the time for "mad Sid" or "please give me attention because I need it Sid" to raise his pointless head. You are not being helpful, indeed you are being a hinderence and for that you should hang your head in shame.
The next 24hrs are some of the most important in the history of our club. This is a one time chance, blink, hesitate, listen to Sid and we may miss it.
I firmly believe that fan ownership is THE way forward. If this is achieved then I doubt that the club will EVER be sold again for I see no reason why we cannot make this work.
The clock is ticking and every pledge counts.
Edited to add: and for your information Sid, I fully understand what is happening as I made the effort to find out. I do not care whether you did or not but I will thank you not to make such unfounded statements at my expense.

It's like voting in an election though - you vote but you need to accept the outcome whether the party you voted for win or not. Those choosing to sign up are not being arrogant in any way and we will only make a decision which will apply to everyone if enough people sign up. What exactly is the alternative - are there other concrete offers on the table. We can't continue in costant limbo (although it did us no real harm last season) it needs to be resolved and a sale is the only way to resolve it. I accept that not everyone feels this is the way forward but forward we must move with this. Companies develope and nothing is ever ideal at the outset but this can be shaped a bit more from the inside out so to speak but we need a vehicle to get this issue resolved once and for all. It might go tits up or it might be a roaring success but we will never know until we try. The alterative of a Whyte / Green type does not inspire me one little bit !

    Will sign up tonight.
I think the fans have to sign up, work together and make a better future for our club. Richard Atkinson has given a platform and solution for St Mirren fans to secure their long term future. I am glad that Gordon Scott is involved as he seems a good guy with the right kind of drive and energy to keep this going in the right direction.
Hope we get the numbers / monetary amount before close of play tomorrow.

Ive been fairly quiet on this subject of late as discussing it on here with any hope of sense has at times been difficult.
    I am In.
I encourage everyone with the best interests of our club at heart to get in on this and to get in on it NOW!
As Div (forum username of our moderator, the man known in the real world as David McDonald) said, the bid may not be perfect but
IT CAN BE RESHAPED FROM WITHIN
To have a say in the running of our club, to be able to cast a vote, to be able to speak on any matter concerning the Saint Mirren professional football club with the knowledge that "you tried", then you need to complete your direct debit mandate and you need to complete it tonight.
The time for nonsense is over, the time for action is upon us.
Take it from a very old man like me, in life the biggest regrets you will have are the things you DID NOT DO rather than what you did.
Sign up tonight, lets make this work and lets ensure the future of the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co.
Please do not let some of the nonsense spouted on here put you off. This is a one time chance and I sincerely hope that together we take it.

I had a wee think about who from these pages I would like to see stand for election and I have to say that your online alias was one of my preferred options so I'm delighted to see you standing.
So far as membership is concerned I'm in, as is my team - Wishaw Wycombe 98's. I'm funding the team membership as a punt I guess, in the hope that there will be a tangible benefit for them. If there is and it can be demonstrated to the rest of the club then I would imagine that there would be 14 other teams from within our club come on board and I'll certainly be out with the loud hailer on our club website and on the LFDA forums extolling the virtues for other clubs to join as well.
For me personally I'm in because it's interesting. I'm not saying anything new here and I am by no means out to act as a convincer, but as most people know I've been following the progress here very closely because I've been involved in trying to do something similar - if nowhere near as complex - through here. Throughout the course of the last 18 months I've become educated on the subject through going to a conference, meeting people who do this kind of stuff all the time, seeing relevant examples, listed to experience, and through watching the debate develop on these pages. I've seen the progress being made at Spartans, at Bathgate, I've visited Kilwinning and spoke to the people there, and I've been kept up to date with developments at Cumbernauld Colts and Falkirk Steins through the SFA Development Officer.
In preparing my presentations for Wishaw Wycombe I found that the biggest stumbling block was their concern about how they could afford to maintain a 3g pitch - replacing the carpet etc. Yet this week the Chairman of the club has produced figures showing the club pays out £22,000 a year in pitch lets for training and matches. Over a 10 year period maintenance costs have been quoted at £100,000 so without additional revenues it's clearly affordable but the big numbers scare people.
I see similar happening on here. £1.5m of debt is a lot of money. The anger at that should be levelled at the selling consortium but they have "untouchable" status amongst St Mirren fans. The figures for repayment have been published and its quite clear that without extra income being generated 10000hours needs £7,500 per month in subscriptions. Now if this project starts, and then fails - as is the risk that keeps being quoted on here - then surely that is the fault of the membership and the membership alone. There is no outside factor that becomes the silver bullet.
We'll know in a couple of days time what the outcome is. I hope that St Mirren fans take their opportunity here and that I can continue to enjoy the debate and to watch the progress from the sidelines but if they don't I'd like to thank everyone for the debate and for the education I've had in the subject off these pages and from following the project. Good luck.

Agree totally with the above and am disappointed my lucky dip on lottery did not come up last night. I have committed what I can to 10000 and in return I am looking for nothing more than a football club to support for another 50 years. This is in my opinion the best way to achieve that for my grandchildren and hope everyone that loves the club will sign up if they have not already done so. It is far from perfect but is the best on the table with the opportunity to mould it into what the members want.
I trust the fans, including those that are not convinced,, we all want the same, and this is an amazing opportunity to belive in ourselves and take charge of the club we love.

The 10000Hours bid, after a rollercoaster ride of two years of many ups and downs has just two days left.
Everyone will just need to decide if they are in or out.
If the numbers aren't sufficient the deal fails and we move on, we roll the dice and we take our chances with international owners who may or may not destroy the club.
That's not scaremongering, that's the reality of life as demonstrated in recent times and at various Scottish Clubs by Craig Whyte, Vladimir Romanov, Ron Dixon, Claude Anelka and Angelo Massone.
South of the border we have had the shambles at Portsmouth with foreign owners, the current meltdown with Venkys at Blackburn, the original botched takeover of Liverpool and the unhappy situation at Man Utd where the Glaziers put the club hundreds of millions into debt to buy the club.
These are all real examples of foreign ownership.
It's too late for the fans to say 10000 hours model isn't good enough, nobody else within the St.Mirren support has put forward a fans ownership model in the three years that they have had to do so. This is the only shot we are going to get at this.
The time for talking is nearly done.
For me personally, 10000Hours might not be perfect but it can refined from the inside out by sensible St.Mirren supporters.
The debt is a necessary part of the purchase, and will be a necessary part of ANY purchase by ANYONE. Spreading that debt across hundreds of individuals who all care about the club and without incurring borrowing against any club owned assets is a sensible approach in my opinion.
That's enough for me. I'm in, 500 others are also in to date and personally I hope it goes through.

The fact remains, SG has 3 bids on the table. How long has he been trying to sell his shares?
He would be a mug not to sell now.
The fact is, one of those bids will see the paying punters at the gate taking control of the club.
Only one offer allows the fans to influence the course the club will take.
You have a choice, pay 10 pounds per month and st mirren will truly be your club, you can decide its destiny.
Does that scare you? It would scare me! But it's bloody exciting!
For so long the cries have been that clubs need to listen to fans, read this poll, read that poll. This is how we feel. they are only interested in their blazer and club tie.
You can change all that, you can be that voice, you can vote on who represents the fans in the boardroom. You could be in the boardroom in 6 months.
It may be a difficult decision. Life changing for the club. But this could be the closest you come to it. Don't fall at the final hurdle!

Appears to be a fair point you have made Sidney. Getting out of the house and up those stairs to the hospitality area at our hallowed ground is indeed quite difficult for a young man unlike myself. I have already been to two seperate meetings, both very interesting and informative but both covering the same ground.
The first one where that fellow behaved very poorly, backed up by the Michelle person from the wireless was exactly the same (although more entertaining) as the later meeting I attended.
At the time I agreed with the concept and I pledged. My pledge still stands.
Why should I go to the trouble of getting off my couch, putting on my brown trousers, donning a vest, shirt, woolly jumper and jacket, putting on my black brogue style shoes, realising i forgot my socks so removing my black brogue style shoes, putting on my socks then once again putting on my black brogue style shoes, shuffling down the hall, picking up my walking stick and car keys, making my way toward my horseless carriage and driving to my favourite stadium only to shuffle to the front door, struggle up the stairs, sit at the end of the row (only for none of my fellow supporters to talk to me), listen once again to Mr Atkinson, struggle to hear said Mr Atkinson, realise I have already heard what I have struggled to hear only to have to shuffle back down the stairs, back to my horseless carriage and to complete the entire return journey (having spoken to no-one despite smiling kindly at my fellow supporters and being routinely ignored).
Can anyone tell my exactly why I should bother?
Repeatedly attending meetings is difficult for me and I am become increasingly aggitated by this. I would appreciate being told any "revelations".
    Thank you.
Edited to add: I realise that I forgot my cap, I go no-where without my cap.....tell me why I should wear that cap to the ground if not for a game....why? oh why?

The non executive membership tier guarantees a seat on the new non-executive board, and those members may stand for election to the football club board, but they are not guaranteed it. Same as anyone else.
Today is the day that fan ownership became a reality. We have defined targets, we have defined dates.
If the fans want this to happen it will happen.

So the BoD has already been decided without even the election taking place. I think you may have got a wee bit too close to this Paul. Time to take a step back and look at it from a rank and file supporters perspective.
Based on 1500 hard core rank and file supporters:
£300 per year for a season ticket = £450,000.00 per year
£200 per year on strips and merchandise = £300,000.00 per year
£180 per year on pie stall fair = £270,000.00 per year
£120 per year on CIC membership = £180,000.00 per year
That's a very cautious £1,200,000.00 invested by rank and file supporters into the club every year.
Over 10 years that will be £12,000,000.00 invested by a hardcore of 1,500 fans. I would say you could easily increase that number.
Could you point me in the direction of any other group of investors that are going to be putting that amount of cash into the club over the next ten years, or that have put that level of investment in over the last ten years.
That group should have a significant say in the running of the club by default. We are being asked for more money for what under the draft constitution is absolutely f"k all influence in the running of the club. The change in influence at the club for the rank and file supporter will be minimal if any at all.
Your comment about putting our faith in the existing BoD members doing right by us is insulting to your fellow supporters. Shame on you.

I disagree with this assertion that Nigel has done more this season than Dargo did in 4.
The invaluable experience gleaned by our phsyiotherapy dept (assuming we have one) by treating Mr Dargo on an almost dailly basis will mean that our physiotherapist will now be a highly skilled and experienced individual indeed.
To join the "speculation" I would not be at all surprised if we were one of the financial giants circling the Murray park area before it is sold for housing.

It wasn't actually built to replace the Glen as the Glen was in the space to the right of the current Burton's and can still be reached (but not by the public) via the furniture shop on the corner. However the entrance to the Glen was where Burton's entrance now is. A similar set-up to the old Picture House and La Scala where you had to walk a 100 yards from the entrance to the main cinema.
Attached pic shows the Glen entrance where Burton's now stands but the theatre was behind Burton's where the furniture shop now stands.

I am sure the selling consortium will be happy to discuss the potential sale to any bidder but the same doubts will surely remain as to where the money is coming from and if it is not secured against the club then how would they be planning to get their money back ?
Nobody will buy St.Mirren for £1.75m just for a jolly.
All up for looking at alternatives but they must be sustainable long term bids. Looking at what Romanov has done at Hearts, what happened to Mileson at Gretna and what has happened up the road at Ibrox tells me that anyone coming in from outside the area waving around promises of loads of investment need to be treated with a good deal of suspicion.
Yes, like Richard was/is before anyone else says it !
At least we know where the money is coming from to fund that bid though. I'd be interested to see the business model of any consortium who thought they could shell out £1.75m and get that back without doing any borrowing at all and whilst investing further money in the club.

I am not interested in your tittle tattle. Nor am I interested whether the club has made contact with you. But if I am honest I don’t believe you and it would appear I am not alone. I find it amusing the ego or fishing trip that you appear to be on.
“Unfound allegations”- What ones. None of your posts contain anything other than ramblings
“Civil Lawsuit” – I can imagine the The Honourable Lady Bartholomew summing the alias Mr Sommner 9 to the stand. (you seem to forget that you like the rest of us a unknowns typing behind a keyboard. Some of us subscribe to our own censorship and common sense when spouting our bile)
If the club made contact with you how do they know who you are and what platform did they use to communicate with you
You are correct that there is a “multimillion pound deal here at stake”. SO why are you so worried about the hundreds of pounds of profit that a bar could make. A bar that the current custodians of the club have FAILED to put in place. Using a space that the current custodians of the FAILED to make use of.
As for the cashflow thing, it is commonsense. Then why are you going on about it and making such a big issue about it.
I am still on the fence with the whole CiC thing. I need both sides of the argument to allow me to make my decision.
There is currently only one credible side of the argument being placed.

But you don’t ask questions. You subscribe to tittle and tattle and post about mundane issues.
Last week you made a big play about being allegedly carpeted by the “Club”. Rather than post “facts” on the alleged carpeting you post youtube excerpts from Dads Army.
When Reg Breadly wanted control of the club. SG had the balls to stand up and say ( paraphrase) No this guys is a crook because ……bla bla. The club should avoid him like the plague. A channel 4 documentary prove that SG was correct and the club had a lucky escape. Now that was a “smoking gun”
Your gripes this week are about who gets the hundreds of pounds of profit from the club bar and whether the punters whilst supping their pint realise the 10p profit from that pint is not going direct to the club.
Then we have the issue with regards what will happen to the club if/when it has a cash-flow issue. In recent times the clubs cash-flow issues have never been resolved by the shareholders, they have been resolved by the willingness of members of the board giving short term loans to the club. Those loans would have been paid back with interest to those parties when the cash-flow issue was resolved. In the future I suspect a similar scenario will prevail. In business if you have a short term cash flow issue you approach the bank, a business angel, colleagues, friends and you ask them for money to tide you over. They ask how much, how long and whats in it for me !. You agree a deal and move on. If you don’t pay it back you go back to renegotiate, if they say no, its game over. Simple!
If you have a killer of a question then we all want to hear it.
