Eddy
Is it on the one way system? I don't know what the building is, or was, but I used to go to dance classes in the hall. Edit: but I'm not sure because I thought the building was blonde sandstone and Sonny's picture looks red? Sonny
PICTURE 39 was identified by Eddy and confirmed by Pod. details above and picture below. And I am going to give FS the credit for PICTURE 38 - second image here. It is indeed Brodie Park Avenue - No 1 to be precise. This building has two facts of great significance. First is that the architect's mentor was Charles Rennie Mackintosh (since Bluto and Rick had brought up the subject of the great man). And secondly I once had the honour of living there. Originally it had a glass turret than allowed light to pour down the circular stairwell (before my time) but this was replaced due to water problems. My flat looked like half a donut with my hall next to my neighbours' and my kitchen also next to my neighbours' as the two joins of the donut round the circular stairwell. Note that a lot of the shots on here are what I would call test shots ie I went out and took a sample pic regardless of the light and obstructions eg the bloody big white van in PICTURE 38. In due course I intend to take better images of some of the buildings/places on here but in the meantime everything should be identifiable even if not at their best
