STF up hen and get on with your proper job... the one you were elected to do.

Scottish electorate = 4,283,938,

votes cast in EU referendum...

leave 1,018,322,

remain 1,661,191 =

Total votes 2,679.315...

which means that 1.6 million couldn't be arsed......... The same number that voted remain.

Over one million Scots voted to leave. .. ... You said you wanted to represent ALL Scots... Not just SNP voters... so Nicola you can go play with the traffic...

You have NO mandate for your very predictable yet tiresome response.

Not really going into the ins and outs of the in/out but  by your reckoning over 3.2 million didn't vote to leave or roughly 75% of the electorate didn't vote to leave, hardly a compelling argument!!

What happens if there's another indy referendum and it's another no? Do we get another one in a couple of years? The last campaign was all about it being once in a lifetime, think of your children's future etc etc. Those children are still children and there might be another one. That's hardly once in a lifetime.

Blimey.

It's hard to feel sorry for you after that sexist rant.

Dry your eyes mate.

Oh and the opinions of people who didn't vote despite being eligible are completely and utterly irrelevant. Why on earth would you consider their opnions to be valid?

All those whining about indyref2 need to remember that all they had to do was convincingly win the vote and they failed to do so.

60% or over was needed to make it permanent and we're seeing now exactly what was predicted as a result of the close score.

Just shy of two thirds of voters in Scotland voted to remain in the EU and yet we are being forced to leave.

THAT is a clear case for asking the voters about independence again right there. A large part of the No campaign was that we'd lose our EU status and people voted for the security of staying in the UK as a result. That result last night is a fundamental change of material circumstances too important to simply be buried.

Spoiler

Reality check here, all politicians are pragmatists.

If another indyref  is called despite somebody who is no longer leading the party concerned described it as a " once in a generation opportunity " then that is pragmatism.

If that annoys the voters then they will either not vote, or vote against said politician.

This is democracy ffs

Exactly.

Imagine having a problem with politicians asking the public for their opinion.....

As I've been saying all along - the EU parliament is not anti democratic, but the SNP and Holyrood most definitely is.

You think it is undemocratic for the Scottish Government leader to ask the public for their opinion on something after a referendum which has fundamentally changed our country has occurred that they voted against?

You are funny sometimes.

Only 24% of the UK electorate voted Tory at the last election. Yet they get in with a majority government.

Farage doesn't even have a seat in the House of Commons. Yet the leave campaign repeatedly said Europe was not democratic, you could vote the UK government out but not the EU. Well Scotland have not voted for a Tory government for decades and decades yet they keep getting into power.

Now we will be governed by a more right winged Tory than David Cameron. Scotland doesn't have a voice.

Over a million Scots voted to leave. She promised to represent them too did she not?

Which was NO and LEAVE.

So what exactly is her problem under your splendid and accurate definition.

If you participate in a vote willingly, you have to be prepared for outcomes you may not like.

In case you didn't know Nicola represents Scotland. She doesn't represent the UK. Scotland has voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU what do you suggest she do? The people of Scotland don't want to leave the EU. She has a duty to serve the people of Scotland.

I voted yes last time not sure I would this time. However the SNP have been put in a position where they are being force down this route. They lose again then they could be finished, then God help Scotland because who will stand up us, Boris Johnson perhaps?
