If you watch their games, their tactic seems to be to get the ball up top as quickly as possible. Whether that's by playing football or by a punt over the top, they do it very well. Scott Robinson is a livewire and is scoring for fun. Both Mullin and Forrest have pace and never give defenders a minutes peace and they can finish.

Another tactic which they use frequently, and scored from against the green bigots, is for their free kicks into the box. Their two taller defenders (Brown and Guthrie) and  have mastered losing their markers and are extremely proficient at finishing from around the penalty spot. Guthrie scored against us in the 3-3 game last (?) season. Our defenders will need to be extremely vigilant. Fortunately Brown is suspended for this one.

Simply put, if JG can get the best out of our players and we take any chances we get, then it should be a competitive game.

Siggggggggggggh!

One thing every team knows is no silly free kicks against Livingston but ffs only 8 minutes to first one and we get punished.

Was just about to say it had been a nervy start by us.

Until the goal their line was outside centre circle (and we had plenty chances for ball over top) now with a lead to defend they are 20 yards further back.

need to play the ball on the ground, big punts up the park is playing into their hands

Only crumb of comfort is Rangers pumped us for 39 minutes and we went on to win.

We need to try to settle down. Just try and keep the ball for a bit.
So far this hasn’t looked like a team in form against a team out of form. It’s looked like 2 teams from different leagues.
Early days yet but we desperately need to settle down.

Perfect opportunity wasted there to cut inside and shoot. We are not getting success going wide and trying to cross balls in. They are cutting out crosses and closing down on the wing. We need to switch it up and try to be more direct.

We are predictable and they are on our case all over the park... time to stand up and be counted all over the park... man the *** up Saints !
