golf buddie
Was thinking with few players released and others not accepting offers, how many players actually go on to bigger and better when released by us And not talking about those sold like McGinn and McLean Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk

Re Iwelumo, did we voluntarily free him or was it not the case that he went off abroad somewhere when his contract was up to avoid a fee being payable, ala Jamie Fullarton? Sue Denim
Chic Charnley We freed him twice (think he was sacked the second time) and were the only club to pay a transfer fee for him? We also gave George Shaw away who did okay for himself. Think that was part of the huge waste of money on the combined Charnley / Elliott signings

djchapsticks
Not quite released by us but Anders Dreyer who some of us saw early doors was an absolute pler, is now at Anderlecht and has racked up some record between the Danish and Russian leagues before his Belgian move. Some amount of money he must have made on transfers & contract signings since leaving Brighton: On 6 January 2020, FC Midtjylland announced that Dreyer had returned to Denmark and signed a four-and-a-half year contract. On 28 August 2021, he signed a five-year contract with Russian club FC Rubin Kazan. On 6 July 2022, he transferred to Midtjylland on a permanent basis and signed a four-year contract. On 15 January 2023, Dreyer signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Anderlecht in Belgium. His agent must absolutely love him. He’s only 25. 😂
