I expected us to win comfortably against Raith Rovers at home in the Challenge Cup a few years ago.

Unfortunately, our manager didn't give a damn.

Like 2005/06, we had a great opportunity to do the Double again.

Picking the best team available, we probably would have crushed Raith Rovers.

The St Mirren paying public were let down by Ross.

Looked like most of the 7000 Buddies had a marvelous day in Airdrie when we lifted the Challenge Cup v Hamilton Academical.

We had outstanding travelling supports at the other Challenge Cup Finals that we participated in.

Meant a lot to most St Mirren fans.

You don’t go anymore as a result.

Pleasing for every buddie concerned! 😂

The Title win was great and a Challenge Cup triumph would have made the Season even better, just like 2005/06.

Cup wins are fantastic.

Losing to Dundee United at Fir Park was another major disappointment although a good occasion and a magnificent Saints support.

All Clubs in Scotland should participate in the Challenge Cup except those playing in Europe.

Definitely no B Clubs.

Plenty of seats available:

Possible Reasons

1) End of the month - folk are skint.

2) It's St. Johnstone, an unfashionable team who are sitting bottom.

3) We've lost our unbeaten record.

4) They'll only bring about 150 fans, so less of an atmosphere.

5) Folk are going to Halloween parties and need to get their costumes ready.

6) Strain's suspended.

Have I missed anything?

Prediction:

2-0 Paisley Saints.

5,746.

I always assumed most workers were paid at the end of the month.

The end of the month is Tuesday. 🤪

Some companies will pay out on the last Friday.

Not mine! It literally is paid into my account on the last working day of the month... 😕

I need to budget for Christmas, too. Glad the Celtic tickets have sold out, as was considering going (they gave us 400 tickets, btw!).

This will be a tough game. They had a decent draw at Aberdeen and a great draw at Parkhead. Still think we will 2.0. Coys

They, also have not won a league game this season, scoring a mighty 3 goals in 8 games.

As we're at home this will be another home win and take us onto an impressive 18 points from 9 games.

I go along with the consensus, 2-0 sounds pretty good. However, if we get an early goal it could be double that.

Fake Saints games have produced 7 goals on one occasion but typically not a high scoring fixture. (See comment on early goal).

Any kind of win and 3 points please. Obviously we have a far superior squad than them but nothing is a given.

6-0 Saints ( or 2-1)

6-0 ? Pah !!

I hope Robinson sends our lot onto the park with an instruction to aim for a 12-0 victory to reclaim our 2nd place in the league.

😁
