So last night I was subjected to some of the most vitriolic hate filled abuse I have ever suffered. It was beyond vile and beyond comprehension that a group of people could act so savagely.
Some of the comments were "I hope yer maw dies Doig". "I hope her da dies Doig". "I hope yer hale family dies Doig". I was called a fen*an, a t*ig, a kiddie fiddler and names o much worse that I dare not share them even here.
I had someone try to check me out of Facebook and threaten to visit me personally to sort me out!
Where was this abuse?
Who were the abusers?
Why was I subject to the abuse?
Last one first... I noticed that The Rangers FC friendly in Canada was being streamed live on Youtube last night. As a football fan I settled down to watch it as a neutral. There was also a comment stream... I said "good goal" and I also shared a bit of banter... making a wee joke about Ally mistaking tactics for tic-tacs. That was it!
That was enough for the mutant hoardes watching to subject me to incessant vitriol and personal threats!
Funnily enough... this all took place whilst the game was on... at half time it went silent!
Bitter, twisted, vitriolic, evil and bigoted is NOT an exaggeration.
The sooner their club dies the better IMO.

Regardless of whether you think our squad is shite or good, if you're dreading the start of the new season in July, then I don't think football's your thing.
Find something you want to do instead of following something you dread.

To have a government in power that the Scottish people actually vote for. Or to have a concretive party full of Oxford and Cambridge public school boys so out of touch with reality running the country. Lib dems are a forgotten force I would think in the next election. Labour who now don't know if they are tory middle or left socialist.
Don't be frightened of Independence Lex embrace it for the future , change is badly needed in this country rich getting richer , poor getting poorer , tax breaks for the extremely wealthy while mufti national companies are encouraged to open up shop with tax avoiding incentives.

How can you say that anyone with less than one complete season of games played in total is 'proven' anything? Poor and unqualifiable attitude to have.
I'm going to add some balance here. This is a young lad, barely 20 years old, and the goals to games ratio is nothing we can go on as 17 of those league appearances were as a sub. He's not yet had a proper run in a side yet with which to make a judgment, and so the only people qualified to give a semi-reliable opinion are those that have coached him / seen him in training.
In other words, as with EVERY saints player, I will be giving him my full support until he's played at least a dozen full matches for us and had time to settle in. Only then if it's clear he doesn't have 'it' will I change my mind.
