Despite Strain’s stupidity; really proud of the team today. Every single one of them has put in some shift. In days gone by this would’ve turned into a right tanking.

    Did i hear correctly?
The **** singing of "******** blood" live on TV.
Is that acceptable only in Scotland - but not in Europe?
For how much longer will this be deliberately ignored by the authorites in Scotland?

I love Strain, Baccus, Gogic, O'Hara, Tanser, etc. However, James Tavernier is a superb player who would clearly walk into our team.
Can I just remind everybody of the current league standings:

Now imagine we were playing St. Johnstone this weekend and they had won 4 from 7 and were sitting in third place. We wouldn't be saying they were 💩. Indeed, how many of you on here would have taken 12 points from our first 7 games if offered it pre-season?
This isn't a 💩 side that we're playing. It's a badly performing Rangers team. It's a side who beat Real Betis, currently 7th in LaLiga the other week. It's a side that has won 3 of their last 5 league games.
I think some folk on here are getting carried away and are not being realistic.
Aye, I am 100% certain that we're capable of beating Rangers. Indeed, it's a very good opportunity to beat Rangers. With them having played away in Europe, with their injuries, low morale and management issues it is possibly our best opportunity to turn them over in a long time and we have been excellent this season. But they are the favourites. Just have a look at the bookies' odds!
I think our lads will want to put in a shift against this mob. It's our chance to shine in front of the Sky cameras. Hopefully Robinson has them fired up and raring to go and we do ourselves justice.

Let's not get carried away. Yes, the Ibrox lot played poorly last night, but the Limassol team played some slick football and thoroughly deserved to win.
This is St. Mirren we're talking about, and, as we all know, Buddies can very easily make an a**e of a good-looking prospect. No doubt the opposition will have a real go at us on Sunday to get their supporters back on side.
I'd take a draw right now. That would keep us 3 points ahead of the Ibrox crew, solidly in second place. More than that would be a real bonus.

Was listening to the radio commentary of the rangers game on my way home tonight and everyone was in agreement they are absolutely honking...
We really should be hopeful of smashing this mob on Sunday

Very scrappy game, probably due to the dodgy surface, as others have noted.
Thought Gogic was still good, though not up to his recent standard which has been outstanding.
Given the surface and the rain we were fortunate to come away with a point and no serious injuries. Like others, I'd have taken a point before the game.
Next week will be a different story - at home, on a good surface and facing a team which got turned over on their own turf yesterday and quite possibly without a manager. So....

I get the impression that Robinson exercises caution over the squad when we play on these shitty plastic pitches and favours keeping it tight and hoping for a result over going for it and risking injuries that will hit such a thin squad hard.  I can't really argue with that, the best thing about the two recent games on plastic is that we didn't pick up any new injuries and still picked up two points
I will be watching next Sunday's game from a Fuerteventura pub and hope that Saints can top-off my holiday very nicely indeed.

    Just back from the game.
Not just poor defending. We stood off Hibs For most of the game allowing them to grow in confidence. Still we created the best two chances od the first half. We were sat right at the front so it was hard to tell but we couldn't believe Olusanya didn't hit the target and we scored against the run of play. After Hibs scored their second and we eventually made some substitutions we started to press from the front and that's where we get the equalizer. A fantastic strike from young Baccus. But then we reverted to standing off them making them look like Barcefeckin'lona. I thought we were gonna steal the draw for a brief period but it wasn't to be, Best team on the night won and now we will see what sort of mentality our players have. Bounce back v Killie or fold. Show us what you've got lads.
ETA We had no problems parking. Arrived after 5.30, parked on London Road then went into the Herringbone Abbeymill for a couple of soft drinks. It turned out to be a good call as I had no issues getting out of the city after the game.

Given our recent form, tonight was disappointing.  The focus is now on another top six finish and the Scottish Cup.

Another great day at the SMISA stadium. I'm getting used to this. Fabulous performance from the whole squad, including the subs! Stand-outs for me were Hemmings (when required), Gogic (Lawrence who? Liam who?), Strain (again!) and Tanser (again!).
Better than previous games as we actually 'won' by a few goals - it's just that the officials and VAR only saw one. As has been said by others here (and even Sportscene pundits) Mandron's effort should have stood. As for Greive's tap-in, I hope the VAR officials had a better view than we got on TV last night. It was impossible to tell from the shot we saw on screen whether he was offside or not.
Tricky week coming up, but confidence is high (we've won at Easter Road already this season) and we owe Killie one after the defeat at the end of last season. So......

Whilst I will credit Shankland with a good touch (at times), I thought yesterday he acted like a petulant child.
He was lazy at times, he spent more time around the centre circle than in the penalty box and I laughed out loud a few times with his poor touch.
Sometimes I think commentators on both radio and TV don't call it for what it is - a poor show from a so called clinical finisher............. certainly not International standard playing like that.   🤨

Thought we were very good yesterday, don't agree with at least 1 if not 2 of the disallowed goals. We are in a great place, playing good football and being consistent. Nobody e oe ts us to dominate the whole 90 minutes and that's where the defence and keeper do their jobs. SR is showing what cam be done with the right tactics and players who know their role and play for the team. Great times😁

Thought we were excellent yesterday especially in first half - Robbo has us playing at a high tempo which is hard to maintain for 90 mins but our closing down and organisation was great to see.  Yeah we will lose games but this team are working their butts off and feeding off the fans backing. Let’s get behind them and enjoy the rollercoaster that is St Mirren FC !

    Well done Saints!
Another great hard working performance from the players.
I'd love to see Scotty Tanser's statistics for winning headers: he seems to win about every one!
I thought Toyosi Olusanya had a good chance in the first half but took too long to shoot.  Then he missed it at the second attempt when it looked easier to get it on target.  Having said that I thought he had been offside when he was running through on goal but credit to him for playing until the whistle.
Every player does their bit week in, week out and that's the making of a good team.  I'm not sure why Keanu Baccus got a yellow card, I'm guessing for demanding the Hearts player be booked or for another form of dissent, which is just silly getting booked for that.  He needs to cut that out.

Not a great performance but a gr e at result. Thought both Gogic and the goalkeeper were terrific. This is the sort of game we Have lost for years.  We are now a very difficult side to beat. Hopefully this can continue for the rest of the season. Another hard one next week against Hearts but hopefully  we can keep this run going.
