Thought every St.Mirren player could hold their heads up after the game, not a bad individual performance out there. Pity the same can't be said for our support. I can't understand the applauding of their keeper yet booing ours and what on earth is it with applauding the away attendance? St.Mirren Park has unfortunately become a place that teams don't fear to come to, unlike the old ground. We need a new generation of fans to support the team and get rid of all the moaning old farts.

I will never boo a St. Mirren player, but I will applaud away fans who put money in St. Mirren by their attendance.
If we cannot fill our own stadium I wish every visiting team would.
A full stadium is better for St. Mirren's coffers.
I, personally, enjoy when I am an away fan at other grounds, whether it is Stockport, Inverness, or next week Dingwall. Meeting football minded folk who support another team can be an enjoyable experience.

As I said in my post, from you selectively quoted, we need another striker to provide back up and competition to Thompson.

Wasn't the Tess one the offside decision anyway?
I remember there was one handball shout that was given offside but struggling to remember who it was against.

Going to Wembley twice this year, for the Steelers v Vikings, and 49ers v Jaguars. Will give this one a miss, like every other Scotland game. Hope those going have a good trip and get a good result. Stadium is amazing. Best I've ever been to.

Carey hated playing left back and got sent home from training on several occasions and had a terrible attitude, Lennon dosent rate him and based on the last 2 years neither do I anymore!

Don't know what Celtic's allocation was but I'm surprised they returned 500. A few of my mates got tickets yesterday but they'e Celtic fans. I'm watching it in the club tonight but I'm shouting on Cliftonville. Don't really fancy their chances but you never know. Solitude is more like a half decent junior ground than a premier pitch so it can be a bit of a leveller. Here's hoping.

    I like this line:
"St Mirren are leading the race for the Wales Under 21 international with Buddies boss Danny Lennon keen to bolster his goalkeeping options."
Yes. 'Bolster our options'. From 'no goalkeepers', to 'a goalkeeper'.

Are we honestly going to spout this excuse every time a player is released?
Imrie started 12 out of the first 15 games, with 2 from the bench, that he was eligible to play in when we signed him. I think the only game he missed that season was because he was injured. He also started the first 3 games this season. Oaksoft has also mentioned the number of starts he has had in total. In all of they games, including sub appearances, he has probably only performed well 3 or 4 times max.
How much of a chance do you want him to get? I'm pretty sure he was also keeping Teale out of his natural position by wanting to play on the right hand side.
At least Mr Lennon has got the courage to realise he made a mistake with this signing by letting him go rather than persevere with a player who, in my opinion, wasn't good enough and didn't want to be at the club.
    Good luck Dougie.

Every football club takes a chance on signing a player when a transfer fee is involved. Even Fergie at Man Utd bought some players that just did not work out. It can happen.

Gloryhunter got a reaction from HAMMY #COYS in Carey And Parkin First To Go.........
Apart from the 1st game of the season he started 13 out of the next 14 games. That is a pretty decent run in the team and played most of these games in his "natural" position. The only decent game I remember him playing was away to Dundee when he played left back and possibly the Ayr Utd game.
He was then quite rightly dropped from the starting line up for 9 out of 10 games with only 1 start and 3 or 4 sub appearances.
When he came back into the team at left back when Dummett went home I thought he was outstanding. His work rate and commitment were outstanding. Perhaps this had something to do with only having 6 months of his contract left or perhaps because this position demands such or perhaps he finally got the finger out.
I think he was very unfortunately (and maybe unfairly) left out of the cup final although I think Dummett was the best player on the park that day with possibly the exception of McGowan.
I think, if he goes, Mr Lennon has made the right decision as I doubt Carey would have wanted to sign a new contract to play at left back and would have wanted guarantees of playing in what he considers his natural position.
Good luck Graham - you will also be a legend to me and many other Buddies.
