TopCat
Steven Thompson or Gary Teale? That, is the question.
cambiebud
For once the board must take their time and see who applies. This could be exciting times ahead and the shot in the arm the club badly needs. I for one wish Tommy Craig all the best. Will always be remembered as part of the 2013 legends and that can never be taken away from him.
JJ McG
Please don't give it to Gary Teale or Jim Goodwin, both have been part of the disaster so far.
gc_SMFC
I don't particularly want Teale, Thompson or Goodwin on the management team.
TopCat
I think Thommo will get it on a caretaker basis. After Parkhead our 3 games are: Motherwell h Dundee a Killie h 3 very winnable games. If he can get 5+ points from those games, give him the gig full time. Sergie's no1 fan
Victors available. Seriously would Peter Houston be a consideration. No. He said United's youth system was gubbed when he left. Look whats happened to them in the last couple of years. Wasn't a popular man amongst the United players. We need someone who the players are going to run through a brick wall for.
cambiebud
As long as it's not Adams or Reid!
aldo_j
Mention of Stark, Houston and Smith give me the shitters. Bring back wee Tam.
TopCat
No way the BOD will be paying anyone compensation. They won't want to add to the wage bill either. I will be extremely surprised if the appointment isn't an internal promotion.
JJ McG
I would still like Ian Murray but I agree we won't pay compensation.

irvine_buddie
Really hope we take the time to interview people and see who is out there and who we can afford. We have all this week to find someone and get them in place for Monday in time for the Motherwell game.
Alba
Names I would be happy to see linked to the job include Gary Locke, Nigel Worthington and Terry Butcher. Names I would be less happy to see linked to the job include Kenny Shiels, Billy Stark and Derek Adams.
eastlandssaint
Steve Clarke , Steve Lomas , Steve Craigan Steve Pressley and Stevvie Thompson all linked , but no Stevie Aitken who has done a good job with Stranraer .

cambiebud
Before Danny Lennon was appointed, Adams was bookies favourite, and Ian Murray was bookies favourite before Tommy Craig was given the gig. Steve Lomas would be my choice or someone with contacts in England.
div
I don't really want Billy Stark to be honest. His CV doesn't make for great reading. Happy of course to back ANYONE who gets the job, but I'd prefer likes of Barry Smith to Stark.
Seaside Nipper
Simply put imo , whoever gets the gig, it has to be someone who commands players respect and bosses the dressing room , a character that the players believe in and want to play for. Underneath that obviously there has to be a snap and purpose to the training, maybe even some ambition and belief reinjected into a listless and pretty awful collective just now. May be that Stark has got all the credentials , knows youth and maybe fits with the BoD brief, or the template that is to be shaped soon , who knows. All up in the air a bit , possible ownesrship regime change ( ?) What do most of the usual suspects on the lsit above do for me , not much tbh, but , we'll see, it couldn't surely get worse , could it Good luck with the latest selection SG. He done a good job at hearts with no funds, he would be my 1st choice.
