The Tommy Craig Must Go Thread

"We're just not scoring enough goals. It's as simple as that."

It's really not as simple as that.

It's laughable any pro footballer comes away with that after two of the last three defeats were 3v0. We haven't managed 3 in a game all season yet that would have been the minimum required just to secure a point v Utd and Accies. Deluded, blinkered bollocks.

Thomas Reilly backing the manager has likely been staged managed by the club and he was probably told what to say to the media.

Incidentally Tommy Craig is technically old enough to be Thomas Reilly's great grandfather.

Right so Tommy's not for resigning - have to say given his career up to date it doesn't surprise me, and really why should he ? Can't see the BoD being willing to part with any more cash so I guess we better just close our eyes and hope for the best - does anyone really want things to get so bad that either of the aforementioned options might happen?

Totally scunnered at present with all things St. Mirren, I guess I'll just have to remind myself that we're a yo-yo club and that seasons like these happen. Flush.gif

Craig has sold the board on tales of Bobby Robson and Billy McNeill. McNeill wrote in his book that Craig wanted his job and waited for him to leave his office so he could sit in his seat. Whether he stabbed Lennon in the back or not (not important for the state of the Club at present more Craig's character) he has clearly done a good job of leading naive directors up the garden path for his last payoff.

Craig is a football survivor, highly unpopular as a person and coach as the likes of former players Billy Dodds and Michael Stewart have written in recent weeks. Last year the rumour was that the players couldn't stand him, yet he gets promoted.

Rumour has it he told the players they would be doing the same training session every day this season, has binned sports science (account for the injuries?), scouting teams and any players we sign!!! Players as assistant coaches just helps him keep control.

Craig's record is terrible, and the Club have very much got what his CV would say we would get. Why did only one Club (a foreign one) give Craig a shot in 30 years? The board received 30+ applicants for Lennon's job so we are told, what skill set did he possess to mean that none of these candidates have a shot. Cost cutting is nonsense, Hearts had high profile candidates such as Phil Brown offer to do the job for free!

Craig's performance at the AGM was a disgrace, arrogant, disrespectful and his comment about the 18 months left (payoff) shows him in very bad light.

The man's a footballing dinosaur, shouldn't be anywhere near managing a first team at any level never mind in the top flight. He stabbed DL in the back by taking the job in the first place and as for theBOD wanting a change of direction in terms of management, how does TC fit the bill? He was party to and involved in every decision made by the previous regime, farcical! His appointment is symptomatic of how the club is being run, on the cheap and with as little effort as possible.

I'm sorry but what a ,load of childish, pathetic nonsense. lol.gif

Maybe you need to find a new sport or hobby.

Getting yourself into this state over football is just stupid.

You are mistaking passion for anger. What you need is anger management therapy not a winning team.

Get a grip FFS.

Let's see how many trap Saturday compared to 3409 at last month's ICT game. I would argue that that atendance itself was reduced by TC's early season magic.

There will be a load who just can't face it withthe certainty that (1) we will lose, and (2) we will not score - there is a pattern here!

I don't think you can compare a game where season tickets are valid to one where they aren't.

Cup games always have lower attendances than league games.

I think if things keep going as badly as they are and we lose heavily to Inverness then you might see a fair number of season tickets not attending the St Johnstone game.
