pozbaird 20,991 Report post Posted October 10, 2015 Been to a few gigs recently. Will Hoge, Wolf Alice, then Lifehouse, all at the O2 ABC, and all brilliant. The only tickets I have now are for U2 at the Hydro. Looking forward to that, because I've been a fan of theirs even before their debut album came out, and first saw them in Strathclyde University Student Union with a ticket price of £2.75.... Cue forumster comment.... 'U2? £2.75? You were done'. Heh, heh. Bono's a knob, but I still love them.

pozbaird 20,991 Report post Posted October 10, 2015 Just checked my book of concert ticket stubs (have every single one since Slade in 1974!)... The first time I saw U2, the tickets weren't £2.75, they were £1.75... Cue forumster comment 'You were still done'... Heh, heh. Bono's still a knob mind you.

southside saint 204 Report post Posted October 10, 2015 Also saw a new Scottish film called Big Gold Dream at The Glad Cafe last night. All about the Glasgow and Edinburgh music scenes from 78/86. Centred around Postcard and Fast Product record labels. The Fire Engines, Orange Juice, Josef K, The Scars, Win, Aztec Camera, Associates etc. Very, very good. Some trailers are on youtube.

Debaser 89 Report post Posted October 11, 2015 Twilight Sad should be good. Vic Galloway has been playing a lot of them. Really looking forward to it, although I'm not sure the wife is, but it is our wedding anniversary the next day. So she is either coming or watching me nurse a hangover the next day. Was surprised to see that it is already sold out tbh.
