smcc
How anyone can't abide Harry Belafonte's rendition of Mary's Boy Child is beyond me. he has a very pure voice, unlike many of today's singers. And before anyone accuses me of being religious I can tell you that I have not been inside a church apart from at weddings and funerals for at least 40 years. Harry is a tremendous talent , it is as simple as that . Always seemed like a very decent individual too. . It is one of the few Christmas songs I can abide , I'm overrun on most of the others , even Stop the Cavalry has lost its appeal despite it being a cracking anti-war song. .

That and The Power of Love by Frankie Goes to Hollywood don't deserve the moniker as neither song is about Christmas, the nativity etc, other than the music videos.
