billyg Posted August 17, 2024 Report Posted August 17, 2024 Interested to see how this plays out. SR rates Gillespie and always gives him a mention when we manage to bring in a player that most think is financially beyond us , including the new contract for Gogic. Added to that , will Gillespie still have some involvement with Kibble ? If so will Kibble have to sell their shares if there's a conflict of interest. Last thing we need is off-field matters affecting the recent upsurge on the field ! Quote

Because SMISA took a decision to include Kibble in the shareholder structure in order to expedite the transfer of GLS' shares. There may be some very serious unintended consequences to that decision coming along the line. Quote

That would presumably be a full time gig and not work alongside his current Kibble CEO role. So would assume he leaves his position with Kibble. That means we get another Kibble nominated director for one. Presumably the new incoming CEO of Kibble would also be assessing whether the charity’s investment in SMFC is worthwhile. Quote

And that is 'some very serious unintended consequences"? If your PRESUMPTION and ASUMPTIONS are close the coming to fruition isn't there a split view if the Kibble are really as valuable to the club as some make out? Hardly, unless you like a drama, the serious consequences spouted by BOK. Time for cool heads, not looking for any gloomy scenarios. Quote

If he goes to Rangers then I hope he does a good job there. I believe however that he will need to resign from Kibble and his post as Vice Chair at SMFC. A replacement CEO will be appointed and no doubt take up position on SMFC board. I hope then that the working arranged with our co-owners prospers. Quote
