What should he have said?
Of course he was talking about progressing with the club. If other clubs hadn't come sniffing about, I'm sure that's exactly what he'd have done.
We just need to accept it for what it is and move on.

The deal he agreed is 350,000 per year.
It's poor Sunderland didn't approach the club first and Jack and his agent were negotiating behind Gordon Scott's back.  However, it doesn't really change the final outcome and Jack leaves us in a much better state than when he found us.

Jack is still our manager.

He can’t be fully focused on St Mirren & having interviews every other week, that’s hardly committed.

However, most of what’s been said is speculation.

Ross may well still be our manager next season ( in a minority of one obviously as I say that )

If Ross has joined Sunderland then Gordon Scott has put on record that he has done this in a dishonest way. 
It would be a disappointing end to Jack`s career at Saints.
Especially after we signed a non-league player yesterday, presumably one that JR endorsed.

Surely a wee bid and a decent wage on a 3 year contract with a decent buy out clause plus sell on percentage and we have ticked a lot of good boxes? In the meantime signing a good Premiership goal scorer too...

If you think Loy signed for the love of Falkirk and not more money than we were offering then you are perhaps more naive than I thought.   The point about other players being on higher wages than him at St Mirren is irrelevant.  I was citing the case of Loy as an example where a club e.g.   Falkirk offered more than what our club deemed he was worth contract wise or couldn't match.
Do you honestly believe that any young kid  being touted for any of the top clubs in England or Scotland wouldn't have their parents thinking of the possible wages earned at those clubs than diddy clubs like ours?  A lot of kids are in the sport dreaming of earning loads of money with the biggest clubs much like those kids who want instant success through TV talent shows.  I am not saying all kids do this but in the 21st Century most young people want instant success and stardom.  There are many in football who fail at those top clubs and end up lower down the leagues with provincial clubs.  

I'm not very good at that, so far I've made a suggestion and pozbaird has provided the excellent graphics

Been really impressed with Scott Pittman watching him v Dundee Utd and now Partick the guy works his socks of got abit of quality and can score goals for a midfielder

Is anyone else disappointed by the lack of information (silence) from within the club?
We`ve had to rely on teasers from Twitter to have any idea of what`s been going on.
I thought this was all supposed to change under new management.
Or is it just me?
 
 

For selfish reasons, thistle (also have a wee soft spot for them), lunch in the west end prior to a match trumps Livingston any day.

As for the play off final, I think Thistle will have that bit more craft and will cruise through over both legs!!

Now County are down, Alex Schalk would be worth a look.

Came home yesterday and my signed Saints Top had arrived in the post. Organised by my  workmate who knows James Fowler .

Alex Ferguson is one of those guys with that air of invincibility about him that you believe he'll be here forever. 
Hopefully he pulls through this. There's only one greatest ever and Fergie is that one when it comes to football managers.

Thoughts go out to him and his family, really hope he comes through this. There's many greats in football management but there is only one greatest.

A downside of relocating families into the west or main stands will obviously be the colourful language the young ones might need to be subjected to. Not saying we are a bunch of sweary folk but it is allowed in these areas , ( I never swear I go along with my good lady and she hates it). 

Obviously you don't sit with your family in the Family Stand. It's an easy decision for the board to make, as EK points out, less vocal opposition to this will come from fans in the Family Stand.

I hate the thought of the Glasgow disease having both stands behind the goals. It does give them an advantage. The stand behind the goals at Rugby Park is always closed, except for the bigot brothers, so no Killie fan is forced to move.

I would have just given them the usual one stand for away supports but , unfortunately, cash is king.

Disappointing, but shit happens.
