Can’t have been straightforward/easy playing there, not knowing from week to week if Soufend might go bust and he’s out of work and having to move.
i see he wanted to leave soon as they got relegated, club tried to hold on to him, but he was not interested. Southend had been screwing the players over during covid, trying to put some on furlough… to save money while they weren’t paying HMRC.
what kind of club would be so shitty…?

Think he could be a right good player . He was disillusioned at Southend having played under several managers , not received wages because the club were bankrupt and seen some players get the opportunity to move on but himself held back because Southend wanted too much money . His move to Iceland was to make him a free agent . Could be a great signing . Wonder if Anton Ferdinand was involved in any way .

Checked his twitter account and saw a couple of clips . He was one of the youngest players to get to 100 first team appearances for Southend and also played for Southend when they were in league one . Seems like he was a great prospect as a youngster ( four Southend player of the month awards in a season ) im thinking he naybe lost his way a bit and hopefully Saints can get the best out of him .

MenstrieSaint reacted to BigYardsAndBasher in Thierry Small
Welcome back, Thierry.
As others have already mentioned, if he has learned from the tackles he did last season, he'll be great to have. He seemed to enjoy playing for us last season and was full of enthusiasm.

MenstrieSaint reacted to JJ McG in Ilkay Durmus anyone
McMenamin plays on the right, Durmus plays on the left and can play wing back also.
He would improve our team absolutely no doubt about it.

always liked Grieve, just seemed he was consistently a yard short but a grafter, I thought Olusanya a waste of space, playing naive schoolboy chase the ba fitba, but clearly, I know feck all, he was superb today, and made chances out of being a pain in the arse, so, very glad to be proved wrong, long may he continue in this vein

Injuries will force Saints into having a team that is very comfortable with the ball at their feet and also with a bit of pace up front . Our problem will be whether the referee gives us any protection or will let them kick us off the park . Still fancy us for a win though .

I look forward to see how effective our forwards are in this game , Easter Road seems a big park and we have a bit of pace in our attack so it will be interesting to see how fast these guys are against a premiership team . Will also be good to see Mandron is against Premiership opposition. Coys .

I would hope so. If Joe had still been here I wouldn't be bothered but we're already short of numbers and I don't think Gogic is the answer.

He wants to go , he lives in Dundee , and the club are happy to sell him. I believe we already have a replacement lined up !
